LONDON – The number of anti-Semitic incidents in the UK set a new high in 2009, the most since records began, according a report released on Friday.
The Community Security Trust, a charity that monitors anti-Semitism and provides security for the Jewish community in Britain, recorded 924 anti-Semitic incidents in 2009.
The high number of incidents was attributed to “unprecedented levels of anti-Semitism” during and in the immediate aftermath of Operation Cast Lead. This included 288 incidents last January, during the conflict, and 114 in February, after the cease-fire. These compared with a previous highest monthly total of 105 incidents in October 2000.
The 36-page report stated that 212 of the 924 incidents, 23 percent of the total, recorded by CST in 2009 included some form of reference to Operation Cast Lead. In January, 158 of the 288 incidents made reference to the Gaza conflict.

Do I think that all true Englishmen hate Jews?
No. No more than all French do, or all Russians do.
But, I think enough do to tolerate this behavior. Jews ran from Europe for a reason- their lives. I know too many of my fellow Jews who have run from Europe. Try walking around in most of Europe like I do, a beard, Yamulka, and Tzitzes openly and see what it buys you.
All we can do is point out the obvious.

This makes sense. The more radical Muslims attack Christians, the more Christians blame the Jews. Add immigrants from backgrounds that also hate the Jews, and it would be a surprise if this problem didn’t get worse.
Why does the multicultural, “redemption imprimateur” of liberal Jews come in the form of importation of the very muzzies who want to KILL them..?

I'm not sure this is exactly right. I hear over and again from liberal Jews is the only way Jews can feel truly safe is by constantly lobbying on behalf of minority groups.
You know what? I think that's NOBLE.
What happens when the minority group LOATHES western culture in toto...? Does that mitigate against their protection by liberal secular Jews?
My experience is that perversely, this ELEVATES their worthiness as objects of protection by liberal secular Jews.
Add to that mix NUMEROUS antisemitic statements by that very group, and their lavish legal protection (and aggressive importation) by liberal secular Jews jumps up 10 notches.
I think a lot of Jews, after running from Europe, were so disoriented by having seen their reality turned upside down, that in their post trama confusion they looked for the closest thing they thought they could see in their new home, misidentified a non threat to be what they feared - and appointed American conservatives (the furthest thing possible from fasicists) - to be their knee-jerk analog for the Nazis they were running from.
There’s no other explanation I can see, for the blind marching of Jewish Americans for a party (the democrats) seeking to create the closest thing in US history to a true fascist regime.
They’re blinded by that first, faulty assumption. American conservatives are the furthest thing from German fascists - but some looked the same - thus perhaps part of the incorrect assumptions.
It’s like having started with that original wrong assumption, nobody is willing now to admit how wrong they were.

Yes, IMHO American Jews, by and large, are fearful and this is why they cling to the Democratic party. As you describe we are fearful of Jew hatred by the masses of non-Jews. However, many (most?) are fearful of being forced to face their own Jewishness.
The reason that most Orthodox (i.e. Observant) Jews are conservatives is that they feel more at home with the values espoused by the Republican party and utterly reject the moral relativism of the liberals. However, many non-observant Jews of Europe not only ran away from the Jew-hatred there, but from their own faith. Here they were free to be whatever they wished, without having to worry about the pesky neighbors who would look down on them for abandoning their faith. They could re-invent themselves and be free.
On some level, the values oriented conservatives are reminding them that they playing hookey from their responsibilites to their own. Ever notice how many of the loudest voices protesting the conservative movement are non-observant Jews? IMHO, this is in large measure a reason why.
