Sarah Palin hit the nail on the head when she told the Tea Party Nation Convention that this repeated mantra of bi-partisanship needs to find exit. Quickly. Like right now.
When Congressmen continue to boast on their bi-partisanship, it reveals their lack of conviction. Thats the upshot of what Palin was declaring.

But McCain is famous for this. She is muddying the water.
“Get informed” means, THINK LIKE ME.
“Get active” means, DO WHAT I TELL YOU.
“Bi-Partisanship” means, SUCCUMB TO OUR FORCES.
SCREW Bi-partisanship, bro..!!
Ans Palin is exactly right. Bipartisanship a la McCain is little more than selling out for the next NY Times puff piece.
No way, she is clearing the water. Can you see Johnny?
Bi-partisanship is the evil that has gotten us into this mess. Her position has made me even more in her corner. Now, if we can just get her around to the proper position on immigration, I’ll be 100%.
Bi-partisanship is an oxymoron word. Why would anyone want to partnership with someone trying to destroy you? Wake-up people.
Just when I thought this woman could not impress me more, she comes up with this position. Love it.
Correct. If we are right and they are wrong how can meeting them halfway be a move in the right direction?
Progressive lite - another term for bi-partisan Republican
Bipartisanship has been redefined to mean: “Do what the Democrats say and shut up.”
Juan McAmnesty disagrees.
I thought she was for closing the borders.
No more bending over backwards to the Democrat leftist progressives. Did Reagan kiss a Commie? One can not try to work with evil.
"Q: Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 million undocumented immigrants?
"A: No, I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. We have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.
So you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
"A: I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country."
Sorry, but this 'path to citizenship' is a non-starter with me. We should never, ever, reward criminality. These people are citizens. Citizens of Mexico, Guatamala, wherever they came from. Let them return and fix the mess that is their own; not make a further mess of America. If they want citizenship, then let them return legally after they've returned to their own country, going through the proper channels and showing good stewardship to American values, ideals and our laws.
Oh, and they already have access to 'the health that is here'. And are costing us an arm and a leg.
I’ve had a Lord of the Rings month.
Bi-Partisionship needs to mean “ Get on our team or move out of the way. The third option is we roll right over. We’re done letting your wormtoungues distort things with your illogical, ill meaning lies”
And “We will have peace when you hang from a gibbet as sport for your own crows” might be appropriate as well.
I think the folks on the Democratic side need to understand that we haven;t yet REALLY fought. Its been niceties to allow folks to choose sides. Those who chose incorrectly were so bold that they revealed themselves for what they are.
They blew their ability to steal things early and dropped their masks too soon.
Its about to get good.
Actually, it has meant that. That's the democrat mantra about bi-partisanship. 'Our way or the highway'. And the GOP has taken the low road and gone along for the most part. That's why we're in this mess. What's been lost is reasonable debate about the good of the country. It's been replaced with what's good for the parties and Washington insiders. That's what needs to be changed.
Bi-partisanship only works when the focus is on what's good for America. We're a long way from that.
Is it just a coincidence that Sarah Palin seems to consistently be the first politician to put voice to what we Freepers have known for years. In this case, the idea that "bipartisanship" is a good thing was put to death on this forum many years ago. There is no virtue to sacrificing you principles on the alter of bipartisanship. Stick to you guns Republicans. That's what we want.

It was a short line in the speech but it was a major point.
