NEW YORK – Think Sunday night's Super Bowl seemed like it had a lot of ads? You're right. Commercials took up nearly 48 minutes of the game — the most for any Super Bowl.

Just imagine you are trying to pass ..... well, let’s say a football for example and I’m not talking about during a game! You might let out a little bitty scream during the experience. Seriously, my sister-in-law has chickens & from all the cackling & carrying on that some hens do, laying eggs isn’t as easy as it’s cracked up to be! :-)

A recent study - too lazy to find the link - showed that there was 11 minutes of action (from snap of ball to end of play)in every football game.
Ya see what ya get now? Non-stop commercials...And your paying big to watch them!!!

You're right. Maybe those breaks aren't as long as they are with football - which seem almost endless.
This is why I love high school football. They run the ball 75% of the time and they never break for commercials. The games go by like lightening.
This was my last Super Bowl. Next year i’ll have something better to do. The hype and commercials are more than i can take.
I have to agree....It's just over the top...Like a free for for all gone bad...With logos plastered on everything, and every-time the ball stopped, bam...Here comes another series of non-stop commercials, selling garbage and alcohol, and whatever....
They've done the same thing to Christmas....It's just turned into one gigantic commercial, with red bows wrapped around $60,000 vehicles...
Yep, the hype and commercials are too irritating. I much prefer watching the playoff games leading up to the Super Bowl rather than the Super Bowl itself. The whole atmosphere surrounding the Super Bowl is very different than a regular season game or the playoff games.

For the life of me, I can’t understand how tens of millions of Americans can watch 3 hours of commercials and guys standing around, and 10 minutes of football being played every week.
Yeah I saw that same story. Doesn’t surprise me in the least. I like hockey and baseball a lot better. College football is ok though.

the average amount of time the ball is in play on the field during an NFL game is about 11 minutes. In other words, if you tally up everything that happens between the time the ball is snapped and the play is whistled dead by the officials, there’s barely enough time to prepare a hard-boiled egg
