Wa-HOOOOOO!!! Third snow day in row!!!!

That being said, we're pretty sick and tired of the record snowfall here in the Washington DC area.

Well, quit electing Rats and liberals to come here and give us some Republican leadership. It’s your fault. You elect them.

Good....everyday the government isn’t working saves another BAZILLION dollars.... before long, just might make a dent in that deficit. Okay, wishful thinking, huh?

Seems like a failure to execute. After more than a year of talk about “shovel-ready jobs” Washington doesn’t have enough shovels or people working them.

Hey, I don’t pull the D lever.

Plus, as a native Eastern Shoreman I’m formerly from the sh*thouse part of the state.

i’m reading that people got to the supermarket around there the last day or so, so i’m wondering why they aren’t at work. if they were worried about their jobs like everyone else, they would have been at work today at least.

I wonder how many days of the government being closed it will take before people realize we're doing just fine without the bureaucrats and want it to stay closed?

How many days did Speaker Gingrich shut the federal government down back in the ‘90’s?

There are a ton of us non-bureaucrats working for the federal government. Don’t lump us all into one. Many of us are, like me, working for the war fighter and DoD in general.

Too bad we can’t get Congress to recess until July 5th!

What’s really funny is there is another low pressure system making it’s way on to the southern shores of CA. That one should probably take a similar track to the current one stomping it’s way across the NE.

“How many days did Speaker Gingrich shut the federal government down back in the ‘90’s?”

The shutdown lasted about three weeks. What a bizarre time that was. Fortunately, we federal employees didn’t lose a cent, even though most of us had to stay home the entire time.

Because most walked to the stores, that the average commute is tens of miles, sometimes up to 60 miles and the side streets are un-passable, that the main roads are plowed horribly where normal 4-lane roads are now 2-lanes, that the commute that normally takes 1-2 hrs (both ways), would blossom up to 4-hrs each way—and that doesn’t factor in the inevitable accident snarling traffic even worse-— that parking lots are clogged with snow reducing the number of slots by at least 30%, that Metro (underground and bus) aren’t running for those of us that ride the Metro.

Snow is mostly being pushed around. It doesn’t disappear.

Lord knows the local governments, and DC, should be doing a better job, but it isn’t the workers fault in this case.
