NASHVILLE – Just as a tea-party convention crowd gathered to discuss strategy for the movement, one woman stepped forward to the microphone – holding up two Hawaiian long-form birth certificates and a copy of President Obama’s purported short-form certification of live birth – and, referencing the short form, she told the crowd, “This piece of junk is what you get when you don’t have one of these!”
The crowd went wild, clapping and cheering.
When the forum was over, tea partiers scrambled around a table to see and photograph her original documents.
The woman, Miki Booth, originally from Hawaii, is running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Oklahoma’s second district as an independent constitutional conservative. She had presented original long-form birth certificates belonging to her son and husband, dated 1981 and 1949.
“They are the ‘vault’ copies of the original ones filled out at the hospital and sent to the Hawaii State Department of Health Vital Statistics Office,” Booth told WND. “It is from this office that the newspapers get their stats for births, deaths and marriages to announce in the newspapers.”
Her husband, Fred, and son, Alan, were born at the Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu, Hawaii – the same hospital declared as Obama’s birthplace in a purported letter from the president.
“If he is going to claim he was born in Kapi’olani like my husband and my son, then I want him to show proof,” Booth said, explaining that a certification of live birth only shows that a live baby was born – and not necessarily in Hawaii.
“What he’s given us perpetuates the mystery of what he’s covering up and gives us more reason to not trust him,” she said.
She’s stirrin’ up the stuff. Good on her.

Any lurkers that think this statement is just another Right Wing misconception, do a search on Obama saying "Corpse-man" for Corpsman from his teleprompted speech the other day. The same speech where he had no idea what the word meant he was mispronouncing THREE TIMES. Good luck finding any reporting about it other than from Fox.
So the same State Run Media that lambasted President Bush on a daily basis for mispronouncing words is determined that Barry not be shown in the same light. Would it not make sense then that the last thing they would do is investigate the birth of the president? After all, they have shown they have a vested interest in protecting him.
This lady and GOOOH is right on...it needs to be a bipartisan effort and essentially an additional check to the system....now we see why elected officials have agreed to let unions and corporations pour money into the election system...there is a fight brewing people...

I think people need to understand something. This thing, the Birther Movement is beyond both parties.
Remember first the RATS put Obama up and claimed him to be good to go.
The Repubs (McCain Camp) claimed they too looked into his birth certificate and said they were okay with the COLB.
The moment they did that, the horse left the barn and McCain slammed the door and locked it then barricaded it, giving them no room to back pedal.
So no one, RATS, Repubs and especially the Media has any interest to do anything but burry this story.
If it comes to pass, he was born outside the USA or was adopted, moved to Indonesia then became an Indonesian Citizen (Which is what i believe is going on here). Not only would this have the possibility to bring down the DNC but the RNC and the MSM as well.
Its a live hand grenade, the pin has been pulled and all involved is taking turns holding on to it, keeping it from exploding.

Winner! He is using THAT controversy to cover the fact that Daddy is BRITISH< and SO IS HE! Therefore he is NOT a Natural Born Citizen because that REQUIRES that you ONLY ever hold US citizenship and no other. That means 2 Parents who are citizens and born on the soli of that nation.

Tribe made an appeal, but appeals don't change the Constitution, even if we all agree that McCain is a patriot. Our founders had good reason for the restriction, as you can read in many documents. As recently as 2005 Orrin Hatch proposed an amendment to Article II Sect 1 natural born citizen which was not ratified by both houses, let alone 3/4 of the states. That was the twenty fourth time an amendment to Article II was proposed.
Obama was born of an alien father, a father with no allegiance to the U.S., just what our founders were trying to protect us from. There is no legal argument for any other definition than what was repeated in dozens of cases. Natural born citizenship was common law, taught at least 10 years before the Constitution was written by Thomas Jefferson at William and Mary College. Jefferson's text was Vattel’s Law of Nations. Law of Nations is cited and quoted in a half dozen supreme court cases. Look for yourself - it is an interesting and readable case - The Venus, 12 U.S. 253, para 289. Chief Justice John Marshall, an amazing man who was a student at William and Mary and in Jefferson's course, decided, in his concurring decision to clarify terms; Marshall both cited and quoted Vattel: “...born in the country of citizen parents.”
Obama is much further from satisfying the constitutional eligibility requirements than McCain. There has been discussion in the courts, of including the foreign born children of envoys serving abroad. The Constitution was not amended. That exception appeared briefly in the Naturlization Act of 1790, repealed, before it was annulled, in 1795, since no law can amend the constitution. That quickly repealed 1790 Act was the foundation of the Tribe-Olson appeal written in 2006.
Mario Apuzzo, whose case, for Commander Kerchner, questioning Obama and congress for failing to examine Obama’s eligibility while they examined McCains, suggested that the 1790 act may have been a favor to founders, some of whom were stationed overseas in the late 18th century, and had children born there. They knew, or realized the law was unconstitutional and changed it.
Obama is ineligible. The more you read our history, as I began to do in 2008, the less doubt you will have that there is nothing to argue about. The only way Obama stays in office is if our representatives, our judiciary, our military, agree to continue to avoid Obama’s clearly disqualifying background. Obama told us on his web site that he was born a subject of the British Commonwealth. He is a natural born British subject. One cannot be both (subjects and citizens were different: our Indians were subjects, not citizens). For the British legal system that meant the legal right of British officials to conscript and tax subjects. Fighting for another country against Britain was treason. We went back to war with Britain in 1812. That is only part of why John Jay, Washington, Story, Franklin,... inserted natural born citizenship into the document - during one of many edits.
Vattle’s book was the most widely cited legal authority in American law between 1789 and 1820, and remained the text for law studies at William and Mary until 1841.
The Oklahoma firecracker certainly means well, but what she really needs to insist upon is respect and adherence to our Constitution. Federal judges are political appointments. But there are many more of us than of them, and they know time is running out for some one of them to allow discovery in one of the cases. They are, of course, afraid of the progressive machine. I'm sure there are patriots among them. I don't believe it was an accident that a clerk from Anita Dunn's husband's law firm, the firm protecting whatever documents remain from Obama's past and now the White House’ Chief Council, was assigned to the former Marine Judge Carter, who had promised Orly Taitz discovery. These people will take our freedoms if we let them. The law and the Constitution can obviate the need for force. We are much bigger than Acorn or the SEIU. Some court must address ineligibility. There is no need for birth certificates. If Obama now discovers that he had a different father, birth documents will become much more relevant.
Spaulding, your preaching to the choir here, I agree whole heartedly with you, but I’m arguing politics here not law or logic.
Reading your post, your clearly very intelligent so you do understand the distinction between the two. And you understand that the law has rarely if ever fully stopped politics. They may slow them down a bit but in the end will not stop a determined politician from achieving an ends.
The bigger the stakes at hand, politically speaking, the less a role the rule of law plays. And if what we speculate and talk about here is true, then its the mother of all political nightmares, one that would make all the other political scandals combined look like a scandal over a parking ticket getting fixed.
Both the RATS and the Repubs signed off on Bambi and told the world they “looked” into his birth certificate when they did so.
Its all their baby now and when it does break, anyone and everyone who had a hand in this. Anyone and everyone who turned a blind eye or even just simply took another’s word should be punished in a manor that would make everyone take pause before this is ever even mentioned again, let alone tried again.
