Ask the Germans who was at Stalingrad.Who? The Bolshies killed most of them after they surrendered. Out of 95,000 who surrendered in 1943, only 5,000 came back to Germany in 1955....and I doubt they were in very good physical condition.

Yes Torun is a wonderful city - lovely to sit out in the evening in the summer at a street restaurant or bar and watch the world pass by. I was first there in 1995 and it's changed quite a lot over the years: much more prosperous nowadays.
Going over for Easter? The wife and I are heading there in mid-March for a few days. Looking forward to it very much. Hope you and your wife have a good time.
