Newly released aerial photos of the Sept. 11, 2001, World Trade Center attack show the towers coming down from a dramatic new angle.
The photos were obtained by ABC News, which filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the National Institute of Standards and Technology last year. The NIST collected the images as part of its investigation into the terrorist attack.
ABC said it was provided 2,779 pictures on nine CDs. Many of the photos, taken from police helicopters, have never been released before.

Where is the link to the photos? I don’t see them.
I only saw one of the photos and it didn’t appear clickable to (what the article said) were 12 others. Are they somewhere else?

Not sure why the NIST would be investigating anything and not sure why it would take use of the Freedom of info act to get them.

Don’t worry, we won’t see the worst ones. Remember that day, the media made a note of saying they weren’t showing any video or photo footage of the dozens of people that jumped from the building....too disturbing. And the MSM isn’t about to show them now without lest they remind us that we really have a global war on terror.
Fast forward a few years, some military police guarding prisoners at Abu Ghraib photo enemy combatants captured on the battlefield with ladies undies on their heads, the media couldn’t get enough of them, and expressing their shock that our military would do this, and doesn’t this mean our soldiers are no better than the terrorists that flew planes into the WTC.
When KSM goes on trial, if it is a civilian jury trial, I hope that some prosecutor, who hasn’t drank the Kool Aid, shows the video footage of the people jumping off the building as a stark reminder of what really happened on 9/11.

Even movies have editted out images of the WTC Towers that randomly appeared in movies...
We have to keep showing these pictures.....
How does AP or ABC get any rights to ownership of this photo?

I came into the middle of some Sylvester Stallone movie where he is with a bunch of folks inside one of the tunnels of Manhatten and somehow they were trapped and had to try to get out. Lots of fire, explosions, collapses, trapped people and water. At the end it shows him and the girl popping out into the water (East River?) with the Twin Towers behind them.
That was really weird to see this make believe movie, and at the end - there are the towers, unknowingly awaiting the same thing, but for real. (Well, except the water).
9/11 was the worst event to happen to the globalist agenda backed by corporate America, intellectual elites and Wall Street. Prior for over 20 years our best business and government schools were de emphasizing patriotism and nationalism in order to prepare a new generation of leaders to embrace globalist economics and transform our country. It means Wall Street can sell new schemes to other countries, corporations can sell and buy goods seamlessly and take advantage of overseas cheap labor and eventually people can be moved into this country like services, raw materials and finished products, ala amnesty for illegal immigration and guest workers, all for one thing, the bottom line - profit with disregard for country and American citizens. Our political class basicly did corporate and Wall Street bidding for political donations, while the Democrats also see prospects for more voters.
9/11 re ignited the American concience of what is a country, and what does it mean to be an American when we are targetted by terrorism and international despisement. GWB had a chance to go to war with a really pissed off America (similar to Pearl Harbor motivating the American fighting spirit in WW2). That anger could have helped us carry over in Iraq when things did not go so well.
Instead GWB catered to the globalist in his party and probably the Arab influence in the State Department. Within one week of 9/11 MSM censored the images of the burning WTC. GWB tried to placate American anger at the Muslim world by coining the term Islam is the ROP.
Globalist, free trade and internationalist propaganda may had brought some time, but the current recession/depression will change the American mood again. Job losses and wage depression caused by free trade and illegal immigration (both advocated by corporate America, Wall Street and ruling elites) came back to haunt unemployed Americans. This is one of the root causes for American anger and formation of the Tea Party movement. Americans on Main Street are waking up to the damages caused by schemers on Wall Street, the follies of our globalist/internationalist intellects (on both sides), the damaging effects of globalist, free trade and guest worker abuses by corporate America on American wages, the bankrupt notion of a welfare state with open borders for illegal immigrants and legal immigrants. Who will bear the brunt of the American anger? The politicians who enabled corporate America, Wall Street and intellects to carry out the job killing policies of the past. After the politicians, will come the bankers, CEO, environmentalists and professors. The revolution has started.
I was just telling my co-workers after the Superbowl on Sunday that the best commercial ever, IMO, that they should play EVERY YEAR, is the one after 9/11, with the bowing Clydesdales to the towers. It still makes my eyes tear up.

Although I'm not sure either, I have a very good idea as to why residents of Mexico and Zimbabwe were able to see hundreds of images that American citizens were not allowed to see on 911 and immediately thereafter.
Control of the media and assertion of what government must allow and not allow its citizens to see. Simply because they can.

On the other hand, seeing Microsoft modifying their Flight simulator which shows New York is something I will never forget.

Are you saying that the Bush administration censored all the 9/11 photos? the MSM at the scene on 9/11 voluntarily refrained from publishing them for us to see.
We could debate the merits (or lack thereof) of our relationship with the Saudis, etc and whether our State Dept is too beholden to some of the Arab countries. (I am not disagreeing with what you have said regarding that). The difference is, that if we don’t like any administration, we can vote them out, much like our Tea Party movement is doing. BUT, when we have the media at the scene of a tragedy like 9/11 and they take video footage and don’t release it, we don’t have much ability to change that. The FOIA allows us to get the government photos that we now have, but how do we get the footage of ABC, CBS, and NBC etc, etc, who were on the scene that day? We can’t. Yet, they ALL willingly showed Abu Ghraib photos to achieve the public opinion objectives that they did.
That’s why I fear the media more than our government. They are out of our reach.

Within a week a video of WTC were taken off the air by all major TV stations. That was corporate actions to stamp out patriotism/nationalism in order to preserve globalist agenda. Same time the GWB admin was trying to soften the hatred of Muslims and try to tell Americans it was the work of a few radicals when Arabs in US and overseas were dancing with joy!! That pressure came from Saudi Arabia and political correctness combined. You will be surprise how many former US government officials and employees land high paying jobs in Saudi funded think tanks, corporate boards and running investment funds. Saudis are not stupid, they know Israel has a strong lobby group in US, they basicly counter it with good post career incentives if US officials push for a more mild policy towards Arabs and mainly Saudi Arabia. Unlike the Israeli lobbyist who confront, the Saudis work behind the scenes and seduce.
Compare that with the MSM and FDR actions after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. Images of burning US Fleet was constantly feed to the US public. Posters of vicious slant eyed Japs were posted everywhere. Even Japanese Americans were hiding for their lives. Talk about a nation serious about killing their enemies. Every tool was used, racism, images, God, patriotism to mobilize America for war.
And let’s not forget the country of origin of most of the 9/11 hijackers...Saudi Arabia.
Our nations inabliity to advocate sound policy due to our strange entanglements with other nations is what is scaring the bejezus out of me now that China has purchased so much of our debt...and most in Washington don’t seem to care. We are now becoming beholden to nations that we don’t really see eye to eye with.
