Wednesday, February 10, 2010 The NFL Violates Children
I havent said much over the years as the NFL has been bowing at the alter of political correctness. In recent years they have become known as the No Fun League as they systematically altered the game with ridiculous rules such as those banning silly end zone dances many of us have come to love.
I am not going to remain aloof regarding the glaring hypocrisy of the NFL. They claim to have made this ridiculous ban on end zone celebrations because it is supposedly a bad example for the children yet they have no compunction about violating these children with..."

You had me going for a moment. lol
What’s that other one? Trash talking or something to another player while they’re lining up ....
Send the kids out to play in traffic during the game.
“Whats that other one? Trash talking or something to another player while theyre lining up ....”
I think that is a new one. Why not just let that fall under the jurisdiction of “unsportsman like conduct”?
It’s like the way liberals make overlapping regulation.
“Did they ever decide whether the Fort hood terrorism is a “hate crime”?”
I don’t think it’s a new one because I’ve seen the foul called on it several times ... just remembered it’s called ‘taunting’ ... Oh dear ....
What they violated was my eyes. How many ugly people in underwear did we see during that game?
“yet they have no compunction about violating these children with lewd, violent and explicit commercials that run on almost every commercial break”
So terue, I’m sick of those trashy ads.
“Pro football is adult entertainment.’
Send me your address and I’ll send my my ten yr old over for you to babysit during the commercials.
I’ll send him out with the rest of the kids.
On top of that, was there even one commercial that was legitimately funny?
Maybe I missed it, but I don't remember even one.....
No, not a one.
The Green Police ad was funny in a strange way. The Green Police could well be in our future, if the enviro-radicals continue to gain power and influence.
The thing about paper vs. plastic bags showed how dense the liberals are. They came out with plastic bags en masse in grocery stores in the early ‘80s due to the effforts of the enviro-radicals, to save the trees and all that. Now plastic bags are an enviro hazard, but, the reason we have the plastic bags in the first place is because of a previous generation of liberals who knew what was best for us.
Other than Tim Tebow tackling his Mom, that is. :)
Funny how the liberal environmental nazis always harm what they intend to "fix."
You'd think they'd learn, but then again, they ARE liberals, aren't they? :)
Betty White's getting tackled was pretty amazing. :)
He loves to watch the games with me, but I tire of the crap on commercials.
yeah yeah——blah blah blah
“with ridiculous rules such as those banning silly end zone dances many of us have come to love.”
love?
I think it should be a 15-yard penalty and automatic ejection from the game, not for “unsportsman-like conduct” but for “African-American-like conduct”.
These people are supposedly “professionals”.
Agree with you. Families watch SB together, but networks throw in complete trash—how else can they rid the U.S. of all morals? Catch ‘em while they can.
They will pay the price one day. There is a final judgment seat waiting. Guess they’ve forgotten about that fact.
I’m sorry, I didn’t know the NFL owned CBS???
With the exception of what happens on the NFL Network station, the NFL doesn’t control AT ALL what happens off the field, the networks do. All they do is sell the right to broadcast the games. And contrary to what Howell said, there is NO WAY the NFL can stipulate in those contracts what commercials the networks can show during the breaks. Other then the networks themselves, only the FCC can make those decisions.
If the NFL were really concerned about children, they could pressure the networks.
Maybe but most of their contracts aren’t up til 2011 (2013 i think for espn). And last time around they were worth about 20 Billion dollars.
With that much money around I doubt the NFL would pressure the networks much, daytime maybe but not primetime.
“Sorry, folks. Pro football is adult entertainment.
Send the kids out to play in traffic during the game.” - HIDEK6
That is such a proposterous statement it doesn’t deserve consideration. If you are a football fan as I am a fan, you probably grew up watching the game and perhaps are one of millions of children who played it. They wouldn’t have most of the fans they have if it were not for the cultivation that usually begins in the time of youth.
I can understand if you are just into the debauched messages with which they are inculcating us. I understand that you enjoy their catering to the fallen angels of our nature, which has helped fuel our tailspin to decadance in this country, which is leading to the surrendering of our freedoms as our indoctrinated you have done as a result of their selfish, hedonistic parents barely raising them in their broken families.
I get all of that. It’s a big joke to your ilk.
I just wish to voice my discontent about there being nothing sacred in this nation. May your chains rest lightly upon you.
I get it it.
It's the parents who think that seeing a godaddy girl will destroy the innocence of childhood.
Back in the day, parents weren't the drama queens that today's parents are.
Back in the day, parents weren't the drama queens that today's parents are.”
You don't seem to belong here. It is this enlightened youth who gave us Hussein as our President. 4 out of 5 under age 30 voted for this usurper.
I'm done trying to explain the self evident.
They party it up in the CFL
