Interview with Sarah Palin (Palin *NOT* for Amnesty)
Univision ^ | October 26, 2008 | Univision

To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

I got a response that I saw in "My Comments" that said Sarah supports amnesty. Investigating it, I found this. Read the entire interview in which she states that she's for McCain/Bush style amnesty.

Amnesty is the most dangerous thing we could do because it would automatically give voting rights to up to 40,000,000 socialist-leaning new Americans!

Maybe the anti-Palin nuts will find something that sticks.

But I doubt it.

If Palin’s for amnesty, then I would never be able to vote for her to become POTUS.

I don’t believe it. I have heard her state many times that she is for immigration, LEGAL immigration. She has also stated she is against illegal immigration, and wants to make it easier for people to come here legally.

I think they must have misquoted or transformed her words, because I find it hard to believe Palin would support amnesty, considering what other things she supports.

Perhaps you should read her more recent comments where she is firmly against amnesty.

Just another attempt of the usual suspects to trash Palin *without* the facts.

My mama used to say, "You're either lying then or lying now. Which is it? Either way, trust is only free once, then you have to earn it back."

I don't know if she's a liar or a panderer, but I do know one thing: Amnesty is the most dangerous prospect in America that is on the table right now.

Hey Jim! How many times have we seen this Univision, ‘Palin is for amnesty’ thread? 10, 15, 20+ times?

I’ve been hoping for the best in her, but after she endorsed McCain over Hayworth [what a mistake], I have been more curious about this.

This would be my first question if I ever had a chance to ask Palin something. If she’s for amnesty, I don’t want her entering the primary.

I realize she needed to position herself back during the McCain disaster. Now she’s free from that. She needs to convince us.

Breaking news is an interview that every saw during the 2008 McCain campaign?

I have heard her say many times since the election she is against illegal immigration period. And I agree with you about Amnesty

What's misleading about the header? It's an interview, not a paraphrase. This article is 100% her own words. Don't make a conspiracy of this. If she said it, then it's said. If you can contradict it, do so with honesty, not allegations.
