SNIPPET: “Subsequent inquiries with the NYPD have revealed that Carmicheal, a convert to Islam, has earlier being charged with dug related offences and some petty crimes in the States and some discrepancies in his Indian visa application but no terror connection has been unearthed.

Government sources said that the CISF at IGIA detained Carmicheal as he could not provide satisfactory answers to queries on why he was carrying the blade. Carmichael is a convert from Christianity to Islam.

It's the Christians, military veterans, abortion opponents, and gun owners that are the REAL threat to our national security!

Its a pity he was not apprehended earlier. The Pakistani and Bangladeshi stamps on his passport should have given him away earlier. Its surprising that he would make such a stupid mistake of placing a knife in the hand baggage but then radical Islam does surprising things to people.

>>He crossed into India from Haridaspur border on Indo-Bangladesh border

This manner and direction of of entry is rather odd.

Sounds like land transport too.

No mention of knife blade length, either.

Well, maybe they had something on him.......

And seems like age is increasingly irrelevant in jihadi types. We’ve gone way past only young disaffected Americans.

>>India illegally through the Banphool border checkpost.

In Delhi, Marshall was staying in Nizammuddin.

Should’ve read down.

Considering that relatively recently, last fall, some jihadis were nabbed in the Nizamuddin area of Delhi, he may well have given himself away there. I doubt the hotels aren’t cased out completely.

Well, he’s an American so that’s significant.
