No homos in the military!! Worst idea ever!!
I continue to adhere to that diagnosis to this day. Mental illness has no place in our Armed Forces!
While it is true that a bathhouse culture among certain homosexuals has contributed towards negative stereotypes, one shouldn’t discount the masses of “normal” hardworking gays that have and currently serve our military honorably. Admittedly, my own personal inclinations are revolted by the idea of same sex relations. But, why should our own inclinations dictate how we feel about the interactions of others? Why can’t two people of the same sex lead a healthy and normal life together? I must confess that I have known a number of homosexuals who own their own businesses, work as professionals, and engage in politics. Many of these people believe in protecting the unborn, support the free market and believe in the importance of preserving our freedom against foreign threats. Why shouldn’t they be able to openly serve in the military? Homosexuals are just like any other group, some are bad, but many are good. Why shouldn’t we give them a fair chance like anyone else?
