Frustrated with such pesky nuisances as the Constitution

The Constitution very explicitly permits recess appointmernts, and every President has used them. I agree with the attack on the merits of the appointees, but calling the tactic unconstitutional is simply wrong.

Constitutional lecturer ... And radical commie Obama.

Why should he deal with the messy Senate confirmation process when he can do it so much easier by decree.

Gee I would wonder what the lame stream half dead parrot media would have said if Bush had done this.

In the past Obama himself, trashed John Bolton. Now THE ONE is doing his own thing. John Bolton is a good guy. I can’t say the same for Obommo and his lackey he’s trying to get in.

Doesn’t Congress control the purse strings???? I know they are horribly non-fiscally responsible...but for goodness sake, de-fund any of the committees/groups, etc these people are appointed to.

The dems called it that when Republican presidents made recess appointments. We’re just tossing their own standard back at them. Nothing wrong with making dems live by their own words.

IF a majority really opposes a nominee, they can vote down the nomination outright.

I think the way Reid has handled nominations is appalling. The President’s nominations deserve a floor debate, even if they are going to be filibustered.

It’s absurd that even with a democrat in the white house, Reid has failed so miserably at moving nominations through the Senate.

The Obama junta takes another of its many already completed steps toward fascism.

And IT IS A JUNTA.

Obama will not compromise his socialist/nationalist( black power nation) ideology in order top pass legislation, so he will no seek totalitarian power.

We may be able to stop this Junta at the ballot box, or we may not.It depends on how many Americans wake up.

Many right here on this thread say that the recess appoinit, ent process is not unconstitutional. But they are worong to view the recess appointments Obama is making in islolation. Taken together with his other activities, altogether his actions are treasonous, disloyal and unAmerican and unconstitutional.

Obama 's Junta wants to circumvent the Democratic Republic in order to consolidate its power and make the legislative process superfluous. No compromise. No "bipartisanship." And so Obama means to end the Republic.

Frustrated with such pesky nuisances as the Constitution, Obama now says he intends to circumvent the entire Senate confirmation process to railroad through 177 radical left-wing nominees--many of whom are opposed by both parties--while Congress is still in recess...

It's the 'not do the confirmation thing' that is most disturbing to me. That prevents the public from hearing who the kooks really are.

With people like this Becker clown, because of the hearings, everybody knows he is just another commie class warfare union thug now.

That recess appointment hypocrisy appears to be a two-way street.

Hopefully in 2011 Senate Majority Leader McConnell will do like Reid did in 2008 and keep the Senate in permanent session so there is no offical recess.

These appointees will get their year and then out.

Didn’t Harry Reid keep the Senate open because he didn’t like Bush doing this? What say you Harry, are we going to see a little consistency from the party of transparency?
