Chris Matthews: States’ Rights Equals Racism
David Horowitz's NewsRealBlog ^ | February 11, 2010 | Liz Blaine

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews is never one to let the facts get in the way of race-baiting. According to Matthews and Tuesday’s Hardball guests partisan shills, constitutionally guaranteed states’ rights are now racist!

< snip >

Matthews built his strawman argument, jumping from John Calhoun to Jim Crow, as he equated nullification and interposition to equal rights. Equating the succession movement to the equal rights movement is just nonsensical, Chris. Just because people have used these words doesn’t undermine the validity of the concepts presently at hand.

You could almost feel the terror when guest, Wayne Slater of the Dallas Morning News, described the fright “stump talk about the 10th Amendment” and “state rights” gives the Left,

“Kind of gives you a shiver because that phrase is obviously freighted from the civil rights movement. To ignore the nativist racial aspect of this is to ignore the reality of the success and appeal of this pitch to a conservative Republican primary constituency.

I have never seen anyone so obsessed with skin color as Chris Matthews. Pathetic.

I'm thinking that Chrissy, at some time in the past couple of years, has "gone black" and now can never "come back".

I admittedly have briefly increased Chris Matthews’ viewship in the recent weeks out of curiousity and to study for myself whether or not his show presents factual arguments.

What chain of events leads a person to be so thoroughly in the wrong about the fundamental freedoms of this Nation, and really Man in general? What spawns such a raw, irrational hatred of logic and reason? What has blinded that man to allow him to vigorously support the very persons who will most certainly bring about what he most loudly protests?

Liberalism is a study in contradictions...

If a white person breaths Chris Matthews proclaims him or her to be a racist, what else is new.

It’s typical for liberals to be obsessed with skin color.

He’s been seduced by the socialists and gone over to the dark side. I’d dare say that Tip O’Neil would be spinning in his grave if he knew.

Losers like Chris Micheline Man Mathews don't want the people to have any say in what their government does. States rights takes power away from the elitist pigs in Washington DC and puts it in the hands of local government where it belongs.

It’s part of the Left’s agenda. They have to assassinate the Constitution from every angle in order to facilitate removing its principles. Tagging elements of the Constitution with the word “racism” makes a memorable impression on people. The next time they hear others mentioning or supporting its principles their immediate thought will be “racist.”

Mathews should read the Constitution.

Ken T. Cuccinelli, our new VA Ag, wrote this article about states rights, It reminds me of an exchange between a reporter and one of the several Democratic committee chairmen in the House that are addressing the health care bill: The reporter asked the chairman “where in the Constitution does it say the federal government can mandate citizens to buy health insurance?”

The chairman snapped back: “Where does it say we can’t?!”

Sadly, like many of his cohorts, this chairman was blissfully unaware that if the Constitution doesn’t say the federal government can do something, then it can’t do it. And nowhere in the Constitution is the federal government given the authority to mandate citizens to purchase anything.

I have always said slavery aside the south was 100% in the right pre 1877. Constitutionally speaking. The 9th and 10th amendments are very simple that anyone with an 8th grade reading level can understand them. If it isn’t in the Constitution it is reserved to the states or the people.

Liberals have to be race obsessed, because they use race as a wedge to drive between people, to create hate. Chrissy also thinks it gives him a black audience, but black folks don’t want to look at his dumb, pasty, white, chubby butt.

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews

He's light skinned and doesn't speak with a negro accent unless he wants one.

The guy reeks of desperation for viewers, but he is becoming so radical, he is turning into more of a circus sideshow than a political commentator.

Doesn’t Chrissy Matthews know that in 1861 - 1865 there was a little skirmish over the issue of States Rights. The War Between the States or as those above the Mason Dixon Line Civil War. Freedom of the Slaves was achieved in 1863 Emancipation Proclamation. As each state that seceded and returned, slaves were given their freedom. Racism has more to do with the issue now days as screaming “you are denying me what I believe are my rights for something wholly other.” Affirmative action has given minorities certain standards that a White Anglo Saxon Protestant Male is not given because of gender, and color. HaarvardUniversity bestowed two degrees on the Obamas that were achieved through affirmative action. Michelle stated that she got into Princeton because her brother had attended there prior to her attendance. Obama is not smart, just like Michelle, they both are incompetent. Chrissy Matthews is incompetent nincompoop.

When I hear people saying nonsense like this, I immediately propose binding national referenda on (for example) Conceal Carry, late-term abortion, gay marriage, capital punishment, a federal balanced budget, affirmative action, trials for terrorists, etc. etc. etc.

It’s fascinating to watch these people suddenly become strict Constitutionalists and states-rights advocates.
