Texan Medina questions any US role in 9/11 attacks [Medina is a Truther]
Dallas News ^ | 11 February 2010 | April Castro

A Republican gubernatorial candidate said Thursday she has questions about whether the U.S. government was involved in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks — a statement she swiftly backed away from and one that drew immediate criticism from her better-known rivals in the race.

Gov. Rick Perry and Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison dismissed the comments made by Debra Medina on the Glenn Beck Show that there were "some very good arguments" that the U.S. was involved in bringing down the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.

"I don't have all of the evidence there, Glenn," Medina said. "I think some very good questions have been raised. In that regard there's some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there."

Medina later released a statement saying she did not believe the government was involved in the attacks.

"There is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11," Medina said in the written statement. "I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way."

I heard Beck talking about this on the radio show. he was really laying into her and those who support the concept.

One guy called in saying it really wasn’t a big deal.

You know, I'm not big on the Republican establishment, per se, but having one does help to weed out the kooks, whackos, and looney tunes just the same.

I heard her actual quote... she did NOT say that she blames the US government. She was trying to make a “no comment” statement, saying that she didn’t have all the evidence to even make a statement on the facts.

The media is REALLY twisting this around.

Does that mean she has some evidence? If so then why doesn't she produce that amount of evidence? If she doesn't have any evidence then why didn't she immediately denounce the claim?

Gee imagine that. Another looney RINO female.

Yeah... that hack reporter April Castro is just as bad as Rachel Maddow, keeping a non-story alive for all the muck it can yield to drag down a grass roots candidate.

I wonder who's political payroll she's on?

David Duke in drag. This moron is an embarrassment, but not a surprise. I've been to lots of events and found a small number of nut cases like this. She won't go anywhere but the scumbags in the media will build her up to be the face of the TEA party movement. In the end it will be nothing more than clutching at straws for the Marxists.

Now really. To not comment is the same as admitting you think it is at least possible that the US was behind the attack. There is no way that thinking is acceptable and she should not be given a pass. If she was trying to attract the wierdo vote, that is not wise. If she really thinks that, that is not sound judgement. There have been some other things out of her campaign that are not wise like a memo with an expletive in the headline. It has been reported that she has a temper. I would be inclined to pull for her but not at all given what is coming out.

To even suggest it's a possibility alone is enough for me to consider such a person an idiot of the highest order.

This is why we should want someone with some govt experience before they run for governor. If Beck hadnt asked, we might not have found out, and she could have forced a runoff and used the momentum to win. Then, George Bush’s state would have a gov that believed he did or knew about 9/11. And we dont need to be like Minnesota.
