The problems with the budget are largely due to the fact that TENS OF MILLIONS OF TAXPAYERS WERE MURDERED.

I think you beat me on this board - if that’s any consolation! :)

It is of no matter. One of those things which is so obvious to fertile inventive minds of conservatives that there is no telling how many have thought it, wrote and used it.

May it go viral without authorship as a motherless call to arms inspired by same fervor as that experienced by patriots past.

And it is so unlike the feral mind of liberals which have to have their thoughts and slogans given them on pre-printed picayune placards of protest with their daily ration of talking points and milk of the government teat.

The TEA Partiers should not be defined by anger, but by passion for liberty. As I posted on another thread, neither should the TEA Party movement be defined by the Left or the Media.

The thoughtful, knowledgeable citizens who are participating in what is being called the TEA Party movement should not be defined by WHAT they are AGAINST either!

Lovers of liberty joining other lovers of liberty should be defined, as were their predecessors, America's brave Founders, by a passion for liberty. John Adams stated: "The foundation of every government is some principle or passion in the minds of the People."

Further, these lovers of liberty who are now called Tea Partiers have a weapon the other side does not have. It is The Constitution of the United States of America, the document which begins with the words, "We, the People."

According to Justice Story's "Commentaries on the U. S. Constitution," the Constitution is to be "kept" by the "People." Hear his words:

"The structure has been erected by architects of consummate skill and fidelity; its foundations are solid; its compartments are beautiful, as well as useful; its arrangements are full of wisdom and order; and its defences are impregnable from without. It has been reared for immortality, if the work of man may justly aspire to such a title. It may, nevertheless, perish in an hour by the folly, or corruption, or negligence of its only keepers, THE PEOPLE. Republics are created by the virtue, public spirit, and intelligence of the citizens."

Tea Partiers, define yourselves as "KEEPERS of the Constitution."

The original Tea Party became the original "Keepers." Now it is this generation's turn.

No.

Would you accede under the dictates I offered up?

Not likely.

The point is, this is not a one-issue war. Because of certain political realities and widespread perceptions, whether they are right or not, that have developed over the years, if you take the approach that you used in your first post, you'll doubtless feel righteous and good about your position and it's implementation on the cultural war battlefield, and excite others who share your view, which is, to put it bluntly, rather antagonistic to those who don't share your fervor.

That is to say, they may not disagree with you - they may even support your position to a degree - but because of it's strident militancy, the message - pro-life ONLY makes the man or the woman in the political arena, and we don't really care what other positions he might possess - turns off and scares any number of people out there.

We're in difficult times. We're fighting for the survival and the soul of the Republic. The enemy is numerous and strong, and has many PR and psychological weapons in it's armory, considerably more than we do. That's the reality of our situation. Not even you can deny that.

We need allies. We need a lot of them. We need weaponry of our own to wage many battles across much terrain. We need time to build up our reinforcements. We need battle plans that give us and those who help us a chance to succeed - a real chance.

Now, the position you embrace and fight for is indeed part of the good fight, for it entails our future (and much more). There are those like you who are going to have to carry this banner into battle, and at times that may get lonely. It is an important front, but not the only front.

If we lose this war, the position you espouse will become for naught, it's importance will wither and may, I fear, disappear under the relentless onslaught we, as the losers, will face and live with.

If we live.

If we don't, it's all moot anyway.

Me, I fight for freedom and related principles, and for some of these principles, yes, I'm willing to fight and die. I'm certain you feel the same way about this issue.

What I'm saying here is, to do this right, to win, to assure our children a future where they can grow and simply be, we today have to make an effort to be on the same page.

Waging the war on one issue will not do it. When you fight one issue wars in a time of global catastrophe, you're simply setting yourself up for the time-honored tradition in warfare of divide and conquer, and being on the wrong end of that tactic never won a war for it's protagonists.

Nothing I say here will likely change your mind about anything. I accept that. But by the same token, you have to realize that this cannot be done in one day, in one fell swoop.

Take our victories, however small, wherever we can find them.

Put another way, we cannot at this time hope to annihilate the enemy. It's physically impossible. But we can induce death by a thousand cuts. That's very doable, and would doubtless be a lot more entertaining.

I apologize for the long post.

CA....
