.
So...Obama is going to blame his recession on the weather?

Where is it that you can get unemployment benefits for missing 3 days due to snow?

Sounds like it would be a good time for some temp snow removal jobs.

send all the DC unemployed out to shovel for a ‘shovel-ready job’.

Guess that blaming Bush or global warming isn’t going to work this time.

No, silly - he's going to blame his recession on George W. Bush who caused the weather.
Job losses = snowstorms = global warming = George Bush

A simple, sudden “seasonal adjustment” can make this all go away.

Too much like work! LOL!
BTW there are 230,000 Federal workers in the DC area and the cost to taxpayers has been $100,000,000 PER DAY!!
We should get our money back - or require them to work Saturdays & Sundays to make up for the LOST LUNCH BREAKS;)

This just tickled my strange sense of humor. IIRC the decline in 2008's holiday sales was at one point blamed on good weather.

Another lame attempt by the MSM to place blame at the feet of any one or any thing other than the complete and utter failure known to many as the Obama administration.

I believe Snowmageddon has shut down Fedgov for five days. My life hasn’t been interrupted. Perhaps we should just completely do away with those “non-essential” departments. BATFE, Education, Commerce would do nicely for starters.

I think it’s from the small businesses that lost money due to closures, and the people that had to be laid off as a result.

If Bush were president they would be saying his cruel policies were increasing global warming so HE is responsible for the job loss.

Silly freepers, it isn’t GWB’s fault. Obviously some rogue elements in the CIA have grabbed the earhquake/weather machine that Chavez mentioned last month.

Snowzilla (Wednesday’s storm) was worse than Snowmageddon here in the Philly area. Many roads are still a mess two days later.

This is a smelly lie! Its just to cover up bad employment numbers, as if they are not lying about that enough!

That’s what I was wondering. Since when do you get unemployment because of missing work due to the weather? Am I missing something here? I read the article and I’m still not getting it.

What the h... happened to the days when you had to be out of work for two weeks or more to receive ‘unemployment benefits?’
If I couldn’t get to work because of the snow, I would make money shoveling my neighbors roofs and walks!
