KAVU Interview With Debra Medina (courts Truthers again yesterday)
YouTube ^

Posted on 02/12/2010 11:34:08 AM PST by mnehring

Medina tried to do some damage control and stepped in it more -- by raising another conspiracy theory. In an interview with a local TV station late Thursday, Medina said her suspicions about 9/11 were just like suspicions about President Obama's birth certificate. "It's healthy that people are asking questions," she said.

It’s very dangerous to shoot yourself in the foot when it’s lodged that deep in your mouth.

Clueless is giving her a lot of credit. She didn’t even have a clue.

There were WMD all over Iraq, stored in binary forms like the crotch bomber’s explosives.

Since the compounds were not together the MSM and the left has declared them to not exist.

The people who run the various military ping lists could probably point you to some of the relevent posts from several years ago.

And to try and pin all this on Glenn Beck...

I have no idea what this chick actually believes...and apparently she doesn’t either.

“There are reasonable questions, but I’m not a truther, but asking questions is healthy and just like the birthers!”

Oye.

Fork.
Toast.
Fin.
Fail.

Whatever, she’s done.

On Free Republic she may get some of her supporters back.

Because, according to some, there is a HUGE difference between truthers and birthers. One is just crazy talk, but the other is about protecting and defending the constitution...and banishing the Kenyan usurper-in-chief...blah, blah, blah...

birthers = truthers?

I think not. One involves a belief that multiple people in our government conspired to kill and then successfully cover up that conspiracy. In my opinion that is just too wild to believe by a sane person.

The other involves believing that a Presidential candidate successfully concealed facts surrounding his place of birth or parentage in order to win and hold the Presidency of the United States. That actually has been done before. It appears that Chester A Arthur did that. Whether or not he was a natural born citizen was never adjudicated because he lied several times about the circumstances of his birth. Sounds familiar.

I am not really a birther. Because if we can’t beat this communist at the polls after his being exposed there is not much hope for our country anyway.

I just get tired hearing the moral equivalency argument about truthers and birthers.

This is true. In addition, I remember when they rolled into a nerve agent plant. The plant manager was an Iraqi Army general, the plant was secured with high towers and manned by Iraqi infantry. A couple of days later, they announced that no, it wasn't nerve agent, it was ag pesticide. Subsequent to that they found barrels of the stuff stored at Iraqi ammo dumps and would later announce that, woops, come to find out, its ag pesticide.

No one noted in the news reports that if you spread nerve agent on fields, its ag pesticide. If you spread it on Iranians, its nerve agent. They don't have a military general running the plant, and store it in ammo dumps, if its for growing cotton.

So, like you say, they did find it and "they" redefined it out of existence. To watch that happen with your own eyes, and watch it get flushed down the memory hole in broad daylight was astonishing. I wondered to myself then, who has that much power to do it right out in the open and no one ever mentions it again, not even later when Bush's presidency was hanging by a thread.

REDSTATE said it's spelled, "birfer."

They'll obviously attempt to foist Romney upon the American public again.

This is what happens when we don’t know anything about the person. Sure, she sounded good at first but she didn’t have any experience to back it up. It’s the same with the usurper. Talks a good line but where’s the action?

Well, now it’s back to Gov. Rino or Sen. Rino. One is a Rino 100% of the time and one is a Rino until right around election time.

Well, the Ron Paul/Medina mob kept barraging Beck with phone calls to have Medina on until he did. He had many calls from viewers asking him to ask her if she was a 'truther'. He did. Now, they are blaming Beck and Perry for 'sand-bagging' her.

I don't believe for a minute that she was 'set up'- but what if she was? At least we got a deal-breaker bit of info that could save us from disaster. Putting up 'truther' Medina against the Democratic candidate would be suicide.

“That's not the question I heard,” Medina said. She said she thought he was asking about whether citizens should question their government. SAY WHAT?? How plain did Beck have to make it? It was a simple question; do you or do you not believe our government was responsible for 9/11?? All she had to do- as any rational, sane person would do- is answer a simple 'no'.

This idea that Beck (or anybody else) sabotaged Medina is absurd. If you can’t answer “did the govt have anything to do with the 9/11 attacks?” you're not be fit to run for dogcatcher.

For God's sake, have any of you really looked into her platform- her background? Has this woman even been vetted?

She wants legalized drugs.

She backs gay marriage.

She has not spoken to her elderly parents for YEARS. They had to find out she was runing for governor of Texas by reading the newspaper!

http://www.statesman.com/news/texas-politics/medina-hailing-from-beeville-learned-political-skills-on-229907.html?srcTrk=RTR_95609 What does this say about this woman's character? And rumors are begin to surface about husband Noe's past associations.

Take a look at some of the statements she has made: "It’s a shame isn’t it, that Republicans continue to ignore Hispanics especially here in Texas?’

"Who is going to think more about Latino families? Rick Perry, Kay Bailey Hutchison or me, who has a Latino family?”

"Being married, however, to someone with a Mexican American heritage, I certainly embrace the culture.”

"I believe we too often get into race when it’s immaterial.” (Obummer, is that you?)

I don't believe for one minute Medina's propaganda about wanting to strengthen the border! La Raza probably has her in their back pocket!

Glenn Beck has once again helped the tea-party stay in the Republican mainstreamby by weeding out dangerous fringe thinkers like Medina.

Medina is NOT representative of the Tea Party movement. She USED them- latched herself on to them. She’s a hard core Libertarian who has realized that the Libertarian Party will never win anything and that the only possible way to get herself into office is to do what Ron Paul did and wrap herself in the Republican cloak in hopes that it will fool enough of the voters enough of the time. Thank God Glen Beck outed her in time.

Retrieve your sombrero from the ring and go home Medina. You're Texas toast.
