Dem Sen. Rockefeller On Obama: "He's Beginning To Be Not Believable To Me" (Capt Obvious)

"He says 'I'm for clean coal,' and then he says it in his speeches, but he doesn't say it in here," said Sen. Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia. "And he doesn't say it in the minds of my own people. And he's beginning to not be believable to me."

The Dems are starting to realize what FReepers have known since Barry started running for POTUS. What Obama says is irrelevant, you have to watch what he does.

That Rockefeller would actually go public with such a comment is a sign that the Congressional Rats are starting to jump off the SS Obama. It will soon be every rat for himself as mid-term elections draw closer.

"He says 'I'm for clean coal,' and then he says it in his speeches, but he doesn't say it in here,"

He was for it, before he was against it.

Didn't he say to Pennsylvania during the campaign that he would eradicate the coal industry?

The dems are cracking up, and when this clown fails the mantra will be that racist republicans prevented Obama from success because he is black.

He and Biden both spoke openly against the coal industry during the campaign, and the coal states voted for them anyway.

Note to the President: You have to actually give the public TIME to forget what your previous position was, otherwise it looks like you’re floundering. I know, I know. You think you’ve got your schiznet together in one bag, Pumpkin, but trust me, when old bags like me can keep track of your position history, you’re going too fast. The whole attention deficit disorder thing has been way overblown. Trust me on this.

Yes, he was going to eradicate the coal industry. Rockefeller, of course, has to run on a different platform in West Virginia where coal mining is their biggest industry.

Have to give credit where credit is due and Rockafeller speaking up shows signs of distress in the Rat party.

As an aside, I could hardly believe Obama still won PA after giving his speeches against coal and his bitter clinger rhetoric.

Sounds like the Dems are waking up from their year long slumber and noticing that Barry will say anything regardless of reality. You’d think they would have noticed when Barry was claiming that the healthcare bill would not cost taxpayers “one thin dime,” but better late than never. If Barry doesn’t want to resign he should at least clean house by firing the clumsy B.S. artists Rahm and Axelrod.

I was thinking this morning, BO has no legislative experience. Even though he did spend a few years as a state senator and as a senator representing Illinois, he has no legislative experience. He does not know how to "consensus" with others on either side of the aisle. He was never around very long to learn the ropes. He's only worked for and voted on one subject that I am aware, and that was the pro-abortion bill in Illinois that even the most ardent pro-aborts in the Illinois state house refused to support.

So, that makes BO not as experienced as LBJ. At least Clinton eventually saw a glimmer of merit in the Republican proposals and signed legislation. And Carter was, fortunately for us, transparently stupid. But, even Carter had more legislative experience. BO can not hammer out a deal with anyone but the loony left. So, who is anyone kidding when he offers to sit down with the Republican leaders and find some sort of solution about healthcare?

It’s not that Barry has no legislative experience, it’s that he has no executive experience.

Clinton and Carter were both Governors; same with Palin, Romney and Reagan.

Not so for the Kenyan usurper. Not so.

So apparently if you’ve always been super rich you don’t have to be all that perceptive.

GEEZ! It isn’t like this wasn’t obvious to most of us - the guy said anything to get elected so he could then do what his marxist brethern want.

Not having any executive experience is a given. However, he does not know what to do as far as congressional give and take is concerned. It is his way or the highway.

The prime mark of a mighty fine dictator.

It would be useless for the Republicans to engage in any dialogue with him.

I really think we can elect some additional pubbies in WV this fall. Everyone has to pay attention, dont run off at the mouth and dont spout out anti-gay statements.

Just pay attention to Ronaldus Maxius..thou shalt not speak Ill of another republican.

Heard Hoppy interview Rocky before the election. Hoppy laid out all the BS that Zer0 and Biden had been saying about coal and the carpetbagger insisted Zer0 & Co. would be good for coal and for WV. Hoppy got in the last word saying, “I just don’t get it.”

Rockefeller may be the very wealthy end product of a thoroughly degenerated bloodline(my life's goal but I only got half my wish ;^))but he is a bullet proof WVa. DemocRAT.

If he is doing a throwdown on Obama, it is all over but the shouting.

I’ve had it in my head that the coal states went for O despite his open threats against the coal industry. You’ve encouraged me to go back and recheck my memory, and I’m glad I did.

West Virginia - McCain
Kentucky - McCain
Pennsylvania - Obama
Montana - McCain
Texas - McCain
Indiana - Obama
Illinois - Obama
Colorado - Obama
North Dakota - McCain
Ohio - Obama
New Mexico - Obama
Virginia - Obama
Utah - McCain

I was a bit surprised even which states are in fact the big coal producers.

As you note; of the top five producers only Pennsylvania went for Obama.

Still, of the top 10 or 12, half went for Obama. Its disturbing to me; its like they heard him, but it didn’t register, that it was their jobs he was going to go after.

Thank God for West Virginia; but if only Pennsylvania had listened when he threatened their economy, it would have been a different election.
