The women had been scheduled to race Sunday, and a new date has not been set yet. A heavy overnight rain made the course soft and unsafe.

“The snow is too heavy,” women’s race director Atle Skaardal said Friday.

The status of the men’s downhill race, which is scheduled for Saturday, also is in jeopardy.

Is this natural snow, machine made snow or snow trucked in from other areas? Maybe they should have held the winter olympics somewhere snowy like Atlanta.

Greg Johnson and Ron Rupert are there from The Beaver Creek Race Dept. Greg is the FIS Tech. Deligate and Ron is head of course prep. They are the best in the business. NO racing will happem if conditions are not safe!
