Archibald: What next, the Soy of Sex? By John Archibald -- The Birmingham News February 12, 2010, 5:33AM As a rule, when I see pantless people groping one another on Birmingham sidewalks, I cross right over to the other side of the street.
It is, I've learned, a fairly good policy.
I should have followed it Thursday. On Thursday those wacky guys from PETA, or People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, made their bed at Five Points South in an attempt to show that a balanced vegan diet is like vegetable Viagra.
"Vegans Make Better Lovers," the sign read. And Wichita couple Shena Anderson and Ryan Hendrix -- traveling kissers on the PETA cross-country tour -- locked lips to prove it. In their underwear.

Watch the video, very funny.
Fried chicken guys should show up at all these events.
Bet those city workers would have taken some.
You just know that those city workers were thinking,
“Man those white people are WIERD!
It was this new meat diet, full of densely-packed nutrients, that provided the catalyst for human evolution, particularly the growth of the brain, said Katharine Milton, an authority on primate diet.
Without meat, said Milton, it's unlikely that proto humans could have secured enough energy and nutrition from the plants available in their African environment at that time to evolve into the active, sociable, intelligent creatures they became. Receding forests would have deprived them of the more nutritious leaves and fruits that forest-dwelling primates survive on, said Milton.
Well at least we have more brains than those 'vegan pussies' (South Park designation)
The important point to remember with most PETA types is that they are not motivated by a love of animals. Instead, they are motivated by a hatred of people. A few of them may actually want to make things better for animals, but most just want to take away things that give people joy.
We natives down here instinctively know, white or black, Fried Chicken adds a little lead to your pencil. LOL
