She sat through the pre-race driver meeting, muscled her way through pit road, took to the stage on the infield and wished drivers a safe race. She drew roars from throngs of racing fans, many shouting "We love you, Sarah!"
Even some of the biggest names in NASCAR and entertainment couldn't resist her.
Seven-time Daytona 500 winner Richard Petty posed for a photo, singers Tim McGraw and Harry Connick Jr. greeted her, and everybody from Army members and Marines to autograph-seeking fans and kids in wheelchairs got hugs and handshakes.
Crew members on pit road even took a break from changing tires, some stunned to see Palin walking through their familiar domain before the race.

Excellent article. It will drive the leftist loons crazy that about 120,000 people gave Palin a great reception. I can’t even picture 0bama attending the Daytona 500. Matter of fact, he probably thinks that the Daytona 500 is something like the Chicago 7.
Aren't they all? :-)
I heard Connick speak on Huckabee show . But I thought Hill/McGraw worked last election for the no good party.
LOLOLOL!
Thanks for showing me over here to these Nascar - Daytona 500 threads....I can see I won’t be going back to sleep any time soon....
I think we both have a problem when it comes to sleep. I get so caught up in reading every thread on FR, thinking that I will miss something, that I don’t get to bed before 2;30 or 3:00 a.m. Good thing I can usually sleep till 9.
Yep- well I will fall asleep then wake up and ck FR out and then go back to sleep...LOL. But you’re right - there is so much going on it is really too much to keep up with so I am happy to get maybe 1/4 of what all is going on,,,trusting others know about and are following and acting on the rest.,..LOL
He probably thinks it's like the S&P 500 and wants to kill it.
But then again, he doesn't know much about the markets either.
