Joe the Plumber: Setting the Record Straight
BREITBART/BIGGOVERNMENT ^ | Feb. 16, 2010 | Joe 'The Plumber' Wurzelbacher

The last few days have me once again at the center of a lot of talk. This time, it’s not what I asked candidate Obama or what he said back to me. But it is because I again said exactly what was on mind and some people have now rather gleefully seen my words as a stumble on the national stage. Maybe so–or maybe it’s another step toward honesty that only looks like a stumble to those who think every word must be scrubbed for effect and the political advantage of those “behind the curtain”.

For those who missed it, I questioned whether Sarah Palin should have supported John McCain in his Arizona Senate race. I said it because I can’t help but think that this honest-to- goodness, true blue American hero has been changed by Washington, D.C. and not for the better. I said that instead of him “making me,” as a reporter asserted, he “ruined my life.” Truthfully I wish I hadn’t said that last part or at least had the chance to fully explain it because it’s not at all the “rest of the story.”

Joe shouldn't be critical of himself for speaking his mind about McCain. He didn't break Reagan's 11th Commandment at all. In order for him to really break the 11th Commandment McCain would have to be a true Republican, one that supports limited gumbint, not someone that just pays lip service to the idea. McCain is a long, long way from wearing the moniker of what I would consider a true Republican in the mold of Ronaldus Magnus.....

Yes, much better than what he said earlier. Unfortunately, the press will not report it, because it doesn’t further their agenda the way his earlier, incautious words did.

He can write better than your average New York Time columnist. Heartfelt and meaningful.

Pretty well said, IMO.

And I would heartily agree!

I think he speaks for a great many of his fellow citizens as well!

JTP was excoriated yesterday by the same people who lauded him during the '08 campaign.
Here he expounds on what he recently said and on what he meant, without it first being distorted by the media.
Ironically, many who yesterday assailed him are also the first ones in line to protest unfair; biased articles about Palin, that misrepresent her, and caution us not to be manipulated by the will of the media.
Perhaps these folks should take their own advice before venting their spleens.

Excellent article by Joe “The Plumber”. He speaks from the heart and keeps it real. I wish Palin would stand on her principles and respectfully drop her support for McCain. In my humble opinion, that alone would increase her support from conservatives.

Joe hits it out of the ball park. We need reformers, patriots like this in Washington.

I decided to use my moment in the spotlight to ask hard questions and say things that are true because I don’t hear those questions or statements from the media or most in the political world.

He has written a good piece here, and I have a feeling that he is doing a lot of good for the country.

Once again the DBM blew things out of proportion and we fell for it hook line and sinker.
