Blast From The Past : 69% of GOP Voters Say Palin Helped McCain
Rasmussen ^ | Friday, November 07, 2008 | Rasmussen

Sixty-nine percent (69%) of Republican voters say Alaska Governor Sarah Palin helped John McCain’s bid for the presidency, even as news reports surface that some McCain staffers think she was a liability.

Only 20% of GOP voters say Palin hurt the party’s ticket, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Six percent (6%) say she had no impact, and five percent (5%) are undecided.

Ninety-one percent (91%) of Republicans have a favorable view of Palin, including 65% who say their view is Very Favorable. Only eight percent (8%) have an unfavorable view of her, including three percent (3%) Very Unfavorable.

When asked to choose among some of the GOP’s top names for their choice for the party’s 2012 presidential nominee, 64% say Palin. The next closest contenders are two former governors and unsuccessful challengers for the presidential nomination this year — Mike Huckabee of Arkansas with 12% support and Mitt Romney of Massachusetts with 11%.

Take that in your pipe and smoke it, ABC.
George Staphanopolous was always the most sleazy of BJ Klinton’s sleazoids. That's a no mean feat.

She is the only reason I pulled the lever for McLame.

I voted for McCain/Palin BECAUSE of Sarah Palin.

I will be voting for J.D. Hayworth in our primary.

Living in Minnesota then I proudly went to the polls to vote for Sarah. I would not have voted for McCain without her on the ticket. I myself struggled with even voting for Coleman which I eventually did. Sarah is a good spokeswoman for our values whether she is a candidate for the Oval Office or not.

Anyone who thinks Sara Palin did not help McLame is delusional.

of all the GOP contenders (before any of them dropped out) McCain was at the very bottom of my list... and he remained at the bottom... he truly was the only one left on the list... when they were debating at the beginning of the race, i just wanted him to go away... and then he was the nominee... tre disappointing... but Sarah Palin added much to the ticket... because of her, i could vote for McCain... i hope he loses "his" Senate seat...

Yep, delusional. I always thought that was baloney that the press said she dragged down the ticket, but you know, you hear it so often, that you begin to wonder.

But 91 percent? Among the folks who count? The GOP.

This woman has star power.

I have regained the faith, brothers and sisters.

I also voted for McCain BECAUSE of Sarah Palin. Without her on the ticket, I would have probably stayed home. I never got good vibes about McCain. Glad to hear you will be voting for JD Hayworth. I really hope he wins

Palin is why the election was as close as it was. Had McLoser picked some RINO wuss, his wuppin’ would be listed along with McGovern and Mondale

I’m delusional, then. Romney was the solid choice, and with his business experience/success in light of the financial meltdown just before the election could have made for a GOP win. Palin was is gimmick choice that didn’t work. Flame away ( but don’t forget Obama won).

Like so many others here, I would’ve stayed home EXCEPT for Sarah Palin.

SHE is the one who got my vote and my support.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/most_recent_videos2/2009_10/daily_presidential_tracking_poll_and_does_sarah_palin_have_more_experience_than_barack_obama Despite the constant loony left liberal media's shilling for 0bama, there wasn't much difference between Plain and 0bama when it came to voter perceptions on who was more experienced. Of course in real life, Palin had vastly more executive experience than 0bama did.

I was caught between sitting on my hands or reluctantly pulling the lever for the liberal RINO Democrat John McCain. Sara Palin gave me a positive choice. She was no drag but McCain sure was and is.

Palin was is gimmick choice that didn’t work”

You need to stop watching the lunatic, Keith Olbermann every night. It's gonna make you as insane as he is.

but don’t forget Obama won”

Show me any time in the history of this country, when the VP candidate ever made a presidential candidate lose, instead of the presidential candodate himself.
Maybe, you'll tell us how it was Sarah Palin and not McCain, that voted for the bailouts that over 70% of Americans didn't want yes?
