Not ashes! It’s just mold!

When the hell are these idiots on TV going to learn to curb their tongues and keep their mouths shut? Sheesh.

Must be something about Catholicism that bothers this guy. It's Biden pretending he's a Catholic that bugs the heck out of me.

My views are totally consistent with Catholic social doctrine.
There are elements within the church who say that if you are at odds with any of the teachings of the church, you are at odds with the church. I think the church is bigger than that.

Many here were mocking him also.
Whether we like him or not he is entitled to wear his ashes in public.
Shameful talk.

If he denounces abortion, then let him wear ashes every day.

White heterosexual males; stay-at-home mothers and Christians, all fair game for the libs.

Bob Beckels admonishing remark, Im not sure I would wear that ash on the air,I think what Bob is trying to say is: "Come on Joe, it's not like you are fooling anyone into thinking that you are acutally a Catholic!"

It's not just Beckel.
Among the secular Left it is, and has been for a long time, open season on Christianity, especially conservative Roman Catholicism.

I'm Catholic, and while I obviously do not know what's truly in Biden's heart his past words and deeds lead me to one of two conclusions:
1. He was wearing them as a show of false piety.
or
2. He forgot to wash them off before going on TV.

Beckel is a schmuck, Hey Bob why are you so upset by actions of piety?
To: Fred
Even a non-Catholic can be marked with ashes at a Catholic Ash Wednesday liturgy, just not recieve the Eucharist.
*Biden’s a pseudo-Catholic so the ashes are perfectly acceptable.

I don’t care if Plugs was doing it for show or is sincere.

I would proudly defend Biden’s right to wear ashes on his forehead if he would proudly defend the lives of children in the womb. How can someone disavow a fairly fundamental belief of the church he is identifying with?
