In an article about Thursday's apparent suicide by a pilot in Austin, Texas, the folks at Time.com made two seemingly intentional links to the Tea Party movement.
First, the piece began:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The long, rambling rant posted on a website eerily reflected the angry populist sentiments that have swept the country in the past year. In it, a Joe Stack inveighed against intrusive Big Brother government, corrupt corporate giants, irrational taxes, as well as the "puppet" George Bush.
(See the making of the Tea Party movement.)
Then, after the third paragraph which concluded, "Toward the end of what appears to be his final note, Stack wrote, 'Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let's try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well,'" the folks at time advertised the following article by the magazine with a hyperlink highlighted in yellow:
(See the making of the Tea Party movement.)

Not very subtle, is it?
Let's be clear that tying this person to Tea Parties or conservatives is preposterous. After all, his suicide note ended:
The communist creed: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.
The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed.
Joe Stack (1956-2010)

You know a lot of conservatives and/or Tea Party members extolling the virtues of communism while bashing capitalism?
No...I don't either.
Shame on Time for doing this.

Can anyone find out if he had any political affiliations or records that would show his contributions to individual political candidates?
I’m sure it would fit the tea party profile the media is trying to sell us on. (sarcasm)
I doubt many of us are surprised the MSM wants to link this madman to conservatives. They politicize anything that may promote their agenda and ignore everything that does not.
Crazy is crazy. I really don’t care who he voted for.
The timeframe under which Communism is imposed on the masses?
The left is so predictable. I won the bet.
And who didn’t see this coming?
It was my first thought after reading the news about the Austin crash.
To paraphrase Rush - “We KNOW these people...”
I doubt he gave to a political party or candidate (even some long shot third party no name) just as I doubt he gave to Salvation Army or tithed to a church.
He wanted to gubmint to spend taxpayer money on socialized healthcare for all and tax some business large than his own.
The left is so predictable. I won the bet.
Someone posted earlier that a man of the same name contributed to Ron Paul. The contribution came from California, where Stack once lived. That’s all I’ve seen.
According to California state records, Joseph Stack had a troubled business history, twice starting software companies in California that ultimately were suspended by the state's tax board, one of them in the late 1980s, the other in 2001.
In 1985, he incorporated Prowess Engineering Inc. in Corona.
It was suspended two years later. He started Software Systems Service Corp. in Lincoln in 1995 and that entity was suspended in 2001.
Stack listed himself as chief executive officer of both companies.
The manifesto was posted on the website, EmbeddedArt.com, which was the name of the company that Stack founded in Southern California 1983, which was originally known as "Prowess Engineering."
FYI, I did a search also and the person who donated to Ron Paul was named Robert Joseph Stack.
Oddly enough, that might just give me enough of a mnemonic trigger to hang on to that one now... ;-)
Accidently shake out the Slimes subscription litter cards and drop them in the mail. Send a message.
I’d love to find out who he voted for in the last election. I bet 20 bucks he voted for the Jimmy Carter clone
Andrew Joseph Stack lll, Fed Up With Taxes, Leaves Lengthy Suicide Note
Keith Olbermann is reportedly holed up in a bubble bath going over the lengthy screed by the suicide airman. Andrew Joseph Stacks concerns sounded a lot like a Tea Bagger, so Olbermann is scouring the mans online posting for any mention whatsoever of our scary black president. So far he hasnt found any references to Obama. He is, however, rereading the note with an even finer toothed comb looking for code words. Our sources said hes found some fishy phrases, and he is currently going over them with Chris Matthews and Markos Moulitsas, who are both in the tub with him. Hes confident hell have the evidence he needs to bellow a bombastic report about tax concerns being racist. If he cant find the smoking gun, he will simply tell creepy stories about his daddy and pin them on the Tea Party movement.
This guy wrote a bunch ....reminds me of a Time Magazine reporter
You can always count on the Southern Poverty Fraud Center for a laugh.
The more the left dishes up against the Tea Party, the madder the people becomes!!
So the advise is to the left; keep on keeping on!!!
