Gay Republicans draw support, concern at CPAC
http://www.cnn.com ^ | February 19, 2010 | From Brianna Keilar

Washington (CNN) -- An unlikely sponsor at this year's annual conservative conference is hoping to not only promote the issues that set it apart from many Republicans, but also draw attention to the beliefs they share.

The group is called GOProud -- a name that combines GOP and gay pride. So far, the group is getting a mixed response at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

GOProud was founded by former members of the Log Cabin Republicans, a gay and lesbian Republican grass-roots organization.

GOProud has a booth at CPAC just two spaces away from the exhibition for the National Organization for Marriage, which wants the government to define marriage as between a man and a woman.

The organizations obviously see social issues differently.

...

Chris Plante, who is running the booth for the National Organization for Marriage, said being two booths away from GOProud wasn't an issue.

As cameras rolled, he introduced himself to Barron.

"I hope we'll have more time to talk over the next four days. Maybe we can have a beer later," Plante said.

"We can have a beer summit later. It worked for Obama," Barron joked.

A meeting, yes. But don't expect a meeting of the minds.

"Gays and lesbians have the right to live as they choose, but they don't have the right to redefine marriage for the rest of us," Plante said.

>>the activism helps mask rather than help.

And when "the activism" reaches critical mass - we end up with this - a Pink Swastika at the end of Caligula's rainbow.

Are we there yet?

In the end, Nature will rule as it always has done -  but that is, historically, a journey with an enormous human cost and those who fail to learn from history will repeat it... as this republic is evidently in the process of doing.

Your point is taken.

The point I was trying to make is that people will usually seek help for a friend who has developed alcholism, to the point of intervention, in some cases.

For PC reasons, however, people generally wouldn’t do the same for a friend who has developed homosexual tendencies. Instead, they “accept” them, endorsing their depraved, disfunctional lifestyle. A true fried would find these people the help they need.

“Your uncle molested you, and now you’re a homosexual? You go girl!”

>>I do not judge

Do you exercise discernment?

God judges the Abomination of Nature via Nature itself.

Will you willingly allow your children to bear the punishment and cost for the perverted, dysfunctional, indescretion of others - whose behavior was, until rather recently, ILLEGAL for a reason?

I will not.

I believe in choices on personal lifestyle(sexual preference) along with the responsibility and risk that goes with such choices.

IF One engages in a behavior, one becomes responsible for ones actions along with the monetary cost that go with them, not society.

I understand and respect your position on the homosexual lifestyle.Furthermore, I disagree with such lifestyle.

However God did give us freewill and some are going to make undesirable choices. Is that that what conservationism is about...liberty to make ones choices?? This statement regards sexual preference between consenting humans only.

I just get tired of the stupidity. Conservatives and Republicans have nothing to gain by accepting gay activists into their ranks.

The problem is the gay community wants us to know what they do in their bedroom and our children to know too. So they need to keep it there. That is all.

I emailed this group asking them to take a principled stand against gays in the military. Needless to say, I never heard back from them.

Perhaps this is just one more lesson for the Tea Party movement- if you lay down with dogs, you wake up with fleas.

Conservatives and Republicans have nothing to gain by accepting gay activists into their ranks. - and the fact that the GOP have done has got to be a concern.

I have no problem with gays who want to do their thing in private anymore than I'd have a problem with a guy who wants to eat stir-fried cockroaches in private.

I have plenty of issues with those who want to redefine the entire institution of marriage to suit them just as I would have with the guy who wants to force me to eat his stir-fried cockroaches.

Yeah, so did Ameriquest and the rest of the mercantile whores who destroyed this nation's moral framework for fun and profit.

(un)Natural Born Predators

How's that working out again?

Bullshyte.  See above.  Furthermore, as homosexuals gain access to "spousal" healthcare benefits, WE will be forced to pay for their further abomination of nature ala such monstrosities as the manufacture of "sperm" from female stem cells.

You are naive and have been drinking the PC Kool-Aid  - a Useful Idiot taking the feel good path of least resistance towards this end:
1. Ideological subversion is the process which is [a] legitimate, old word, and open. You can see it with your own eyes.  All American mass media has to do is to "unplug bananas" from their ears, open up their eyes,  and they can see it.  There is no mystery.

It has nothing to do with espionage. I know that espionage intelligence gathering looks more romantic.  It sells more deodorants through the advertising.  That's probably why your Hollywood producers are so crazy about James Bond types of films. But in reality the main emphasis of the KGB is NOT in the area of intelligence at all.

According to my opinion, and the opinions of many defectors of my caliber, only about 15% of time, money, and manpower is spent on espionage as such. The other 85% is a slow process which we call either ideological subversion, active measures, or psychological warfare. What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country.

It's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages.

The first stage being "demoralization"....

I really don’t care if someone is gay. If they believe in the free market, low taxes, killing terrorists, and the Second Amendment, they’re OK by me.

Just don’t parade around dressed like Dorothy or expect others to embrace your lifestyle.

Exactly. I wouldn’t leave them with my kids but if they want low taxes and small government then the power to them.

Yeah I actually didn’t realize it was that bad.

It’s still not quite as bad as Sodom yet. In Sodom they would just rape whoever they wanted to rape.
