ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Associated Press) -- The longest-serving member of the U.S. House is running for re-election.
Michigan Democrat John Dingell of Dearborn told a College Democrats breakfast at the University of Michigan on Saturday that he plans to run again.
Dingell says the state needs experienced leaders in Washington to help get it out of its economic woes. He added, "Now is not the time to walk away."

Whoever runs against him needs to make the point that Dingell is a big part of the problem.

The 83-year-old Dingell entered the U.S. House in December 1955 to replace his late father.
Please, if you don't think it's time for term limits, read and re-read the above. Sickening.

"Dingell says the state needs experienced leaders in Washington"
Dingell was the wrong type of experience and has turned his district into a Dingellville.

Term limits can be imposed by the prudence of the voters. If the idiots in that district who keep electing him want to continue, who are voters from elsewhere to stop them?

I think a good independant could do the job. Lots of Blue dog hard working democrats in that district. And they are sick of what is happening.

You could make the case that this district - from the terrorists in Dearborn to the radical leftist brain-dead college zombies in Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor - are getting exactly the representation they deserve. Too bad for the rest of us though.
When John Dingleberry finally gets carried out of Congress in a box, whoever replaces him (assuming the district lines remain the same) will be as far to the left as it is possible to be. This district may well have a higher concentration of Nazional Socialists and other anti-Americans than any other in the country.
