Here it comes - Obama to Give Black Farmers $1.25B in Reparations (more redistribution)

Black farmers – possibly over 70,000 of them – will get cash payments and debt relief from the federal government totaling $1.25 billion, in reparation for alleged racial discrimination suffered under the Department of Agriculture’s loan programs, the Obama Administration has agreed.

The president announced the deal on Thursday, applauding Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and Attorney General Eric Holder for “bringing these long-ignored claims of African American farmers to a rightful conclusion.”

The Washington Post called the settlement “part of a wider effort by Obama and senior officials to dispense with lawsuits stemming from America’s checkered civil rights legacy.”

House Majority Whip and Congressional Black Caucus member James Clyburn cheered the deal. “History has taught us to never give up when fighting for what is right,” he said in a statement. “What happened to these black farmers was wrong, and we now have the opportunity to make it right.”

Does that include rich black sportsmen who have invested in farming as a tax write off?

In 1994, Dan Glickman was named secretary of agriculture, replacing Mississippian Mike Espy.

Two years later, a group of black farmers assembled outside the White House gates to protest racism within USDA. The national media covered the assemblage and aired the group’s charges.

Shortly thereafter, following a quick investigation,
Glickman said that the charges were indeed true: the agency he’d looked after for two years was shot through with racism.

No evidence of the found racism was offered. Instead, several things took place. First, Glickman created a Civil Rights Action Team (CRAT). Then, in January 1997, an 11-stop, coast-to-coast jaunt (termed a “listening tour”) was scheduled. According to reports, the tour was well-attended, and the 11-member CRAT did plenty of note-taking.

Change we all do not believe in. The runaway train is in full steam ahead and now it’s not monthly, or daily it is hourly - how much more change is going on behind closed doors. Frightening.

Let us look at this affair from the perspective only of process and procedure to illustrate how the left gets its way against the Constitution, political realities, and the will of the people.

There is no question that the president of the United States simply lacks constitutional authority to hand $1.2 billion to farmers simply because they are black. It is even questionable whether the Constitution, even as it has been distorted to date, can be torqued enough to justify handing federal money to people because of their color. So how is this going to be accomplished?

Liberals favorite game changer is to simply change the rules in mid-play. If they don't like the result they are getting in state legislatures, they try Congress. If they don't like the results they get in Congress, they try the courts. If they still like the results, they try international treaties. If they still do like the results, for example with respect to affirmative action and universities' admissions, they simply together decide not to enforce the law and not to observe the law. The same is obviously true with respect to illegal immigration.

Since the American public would not stand for handing $1.2 billion to farmers just because they happen to be black, the deal is set up by way of the lawsuit which the Attorney General settles and the Democrat majority ratifies and, presto, you have a ratified result of an unconstitutional, grossly unpopular socialist and redistributionist political ploy.

Let the lawsuit be played out and let the government pay a judgment if there is one. Any judge who approves such a settlement is acting in violation of the Constitution and in violation of the separation of power. No court should permit itself to be manipulated by the other branches of government in this fashion. No legislature should permit itself to condone unconstitutional and undemocratic redistribution of wealth under the guise of a judicial action. These are flat out frauds. This is tyranny dressed in black robes.

Don’t worry about it, it’s only money. His next move will be to demand a bailout from Greece.

This started with Clinton.

What’s interesting is the story of the Hispanic family.

In the 50’s when their father ran the ranch, there was memories of peanuts, cotton and corn. They had a wedding party at the farm with 2000 in attendance. (lived well)

Now, they are glad their father isn’t alive to see the farm.

Does that mean there was less racism in the 50’s than in the 80’s-90’s?

Also with Glickman, no evidence offered, just said, yes, the offices he ran for 2 years was full of racism. Then formed a panel.

Appears the dems are good at this stuff.

It would be 3.4 billion, Obama just added 1.2 billion to Clinton’s 2.2 billion.

The Democrats have contrived a fraud in violation of separation of powers involving the judicial, legislative and executive branches. At a time when the country is looking down the abyss at financial Armageddon, this brazen end run around the Constitution and democracy is all the more outrageous. If the numbers are 3.2 billion instead of 1.2 billion, matters not at all to the Democrats who are doing this at a time when they are squandering trillions.

The assaults on the procedures which apply the Constitution in fairness to our citizens is appalling. The Democrats threatened to cram their unwanted health care bill down our throats by violating Senate procedure. Failing to convince the people's elected representatives to tax energy emissions, and further failing to convince them to enter into a treaty, they will do it by regulation. Failing to secure Senate approval for their appointees, they create extraconstitutional "Czars."

The list can go on and on. We are confronted with a rogue government operating ultra vires our Constitution.

We are confronted by a government that is ruling by turning one race against another.

Oh I see this guy has now gotten on the bandwagon of making loans to people that do not qualify. Only this time around he is simply just giving the money away!

I am supposed to just accept it that giving them the money is better than loaning it too them. In a way he is repeating history but in this case he is pre-defaulting for these people getting free money. Plus they will get to avoid having to declare bankruptcy.

What the hell is going on here. Loans were made that should not have been granted, people defaulted and the housing and banking industries went down the chute. Am i supposed to think that.......My God this guy is an a**hole. I'm so disturbed by this give away and people actually cheer this imbecile on.
