WASHINGTON -- The Dem ocratic Congress is in the dumps, the Obama presidency has turned into something of a lemon, and Republicans have enjoyed a spate of victories in some of the most unlikely places.
So why would a chorus of boos rise from a gathering of conservatives here this weekend at the prospect of facing a crippled Obama in 2012?
Because, much like 2008, the Republican field remains downright depressing.
The only unified applause came when the announcer noted that a majority of those participating in the straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Committee are not satisfied with the current crop:

And the democrat used up has-beens...... Who will they send up.... This term has an LBJ look.
Im sick of seeing the same names on all the online polls.
DeMint/Pence 2012
The problem is you have so many people here on the right who fly off the handle if the candidate is 100% perfect..
Most of these people are crazed Palin supporters who conveniently ignore their own candidates credentials such as the left-wing tactic of levying “windfall profits tax” against the business(es) she deemed to be deserving of such. Or her blatant misrepresentation of the Bridge to Nowhere debacle.
Here is the answer that eludes dims... those without brains and whose hearts are filled with hate and evil... cpac no longer represents True Conservatives... 99% of which did NOT attend the fag embracing, isolationist loving, pot smokers that met in dc... that is all.
LLS
And do you know the back-story of the “windfall profits tax” in Alaska? Read her book and find out. Speaking of not having a candidate who is 100 percent perfect, Gov. Palin is more perfect than the rest of the field.
Or maybe her trying to raise taxes in Wasilla to fund her hockey rink pet project.
That’s a hell of a conservative.
No thanks.. I have no interest in reading her lies.
So what you’re saying is “damn the facts, my mind’s made up”.
That’ll help the cause a lot. Right.
I am convinced she is. I don’t say it idly.
And then there are those who think that any one who supports some one other than their choice are “Crazed Palin Supporters”. She got this popular for a reason. She like any other candidate has her faults. Every one has to evaluate the candidates and make a choice. She seems top have a knack for driving the leftist loonies insane, this alone is worth the price of admission.
At this point in time, I see a replay of the 2008 elections.
We won’t lose because people love Obozo, we will take the wrecking ball and take everyone out on our side.
We will also allow the primary process to be the same. That pretty much guarantees a bad candidate. The Dems will pick that person.
Stupid article.
The crowd booed because Ron Paul won, not because of the rest of the field. Who writes these idiotic articles anyways?
My sentiments exactly!!! Give me a break....do any of you reeaaalllly think the NYPost would write a positive article? All part of a plan to discourage Republicans!!! As for me, I am definitely not discouraged...quite the opposite...I am extremely encouraged!!! I will not allow any ‘genius’ reporter to plant seeds of discouragement in my brain! Some may call me a pollyanna, and that is okay, but I see more to be encouraged about than a reason to be discouraged. Think back to a couple of years ago and that is where you will find true discouragement. Lots has changed and the repubs are still out in front, no matter what the author is spewing!!!
“Gov. Palin is more perfect than the rest of the field.”
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Governor Palin is more NEARLY perfect than the rest of the field. They taught me in grade school that it is not possible to be MORE perfect.
She has LOADS of faults. They are conveniently ignored at every turn.
When another candidate comes to the forefront, they are hammered relentlessly by the Palin-Bots for the 1 or 2 issuess they may have a different opinion on, despite being far more qualified with experience demonstrating far better leadership skills than Palin.
The Quitter isn’t even remotely close to being the perfect candidate.
I guess all those faults is why she is covered up in speaking engagements. Would you like her better if she had got a big heath care bill passed in Alaska?

I don’t like Romney any more than I would like the Bimbo-in-Chief.
