However, the incident remains under investigation, police said. The man who took Bubert's keys later told officers he noticed the car traveling erratically, hopped in and went for a ride around the block. After stopping in a parking lot near Dyson Drive, the man got out and took the keys with him, police said.

He described himself as a "good Samaritan" to officers, police said.

But officials describe his story as "extremely suspicious."

I don't know whether I would call jumping in a strangers car and grabbing their keys being a good Samaritan or just incredibly stupid. He's lucky she didn't pull a gun and shoot him, and she probably would have gotten away with too by saying she thought he was a carjacker.
