George Will Delivers Big at CPAC
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 02/22/2010 2:18:03 PM PST by Michael van der Galien

Commentary’s Peter Wehner rightly draws attention to George Will’s superb speech at CPAC last week. Although the speeches of other speakers, such as Newt Gingrich, Andrew Breitbart, Glenn Beck and, yes, even Ron Paul were covered extensively in the blogosphere, Will’s speech has largely been ignored. This is, as far as I’m concerned, a shame, because Will truly “knocked one out of the park,” as Wehner puts it.

Will’s main point was that the Left’s main goal is to make Americans dependent on the government for pretty much everything. He succinctly called this “the dependency agenda.”

I strongly encourage you to watch the 3o-minute video. I know you’re busy and that thirty minutes is quite a long time for the average blogreader, but please, watch it nonetheless. It will help you understand the Left’s agenda and the threat it poses to the American way of life better than ever before. In other words, as far as I’m concerned it’s well worth your time.

Watch it:

Pardon my laziness- but is there a transcript?

I heard George Will in the background of a FOX braodcast and they casually mentioned that he was bringing down the house. Then I hunted for comments, transcripts, reactions... and found nothing.

I already knew that the Democrat agenda is to make us all dependent on big government. Did George say something new in addition to that?

Too bad he wouldn’t say some of these things on the Roundtable. Great speech.

I heard Will’s speech last night. Trying to think if this is the same link. The one I heard was crystal clear.

I agree, he’s a little less ‘conservative’
and forceful at the roundtable, isn’t he.

I don’t get all this constant criticism of George Will. He is a solid conservative and one of the most important conservatives in the country since before Ronald Reagan became President. The mentality of bashing people like George Will is the same mentality that has brought us people like Obama and Al Franken. You don’t have to agree with every single thing the man says, but my God, he more than deserves to be listened to. If anyone disagrees with me, go and listen to the CPAC speech and tell me all the parts you disagree with. George Will is also an astute observer of baseball which creates even more goodwill as far as I am concerned.

Republicans need to remind people how welfare turned people into Government dependents for genertion after generation. Many realize what being on welfare did for the hearts and minds of the people on it. It caused them to forget what it meant to have a work mentality. It caused generations of fatherless homes so that mother's could get more assistance from the government. Welfare did so much damage to families and individuals it would take pages to begin to touch upon it. Ask our people is that the mentality we want for all of us?

Yes, I heard that also.
Ben Nelson is voting with GOP.
Collins and Snowe with the democrats and they gave Brown cover, for his vote to please the democrats back home. UGH.
