Access codes to the "beta test" were handed out for free, with many thought to have come from giveaways at a 2008 fan festival organized by the game's developer, Blizzard. But a few enterprising fans promptly put theirs up for sale on auction sites like eBay -- and the going rate is as much as $400.

I have never been a fan of MMORPG or RPGs for that matter, I go for the simpler games of the past SNES, Genesis , and NES were the best systems ever.
It seems that new tech and game advances is always going to pull us back.
Starcraft is an RTS, Real Time Strategy.
I wish they would make an MMORPG version of Starcraft, similar to World of Warcraft, or perhaps more along the lines of Battlefield 2, where you get to be a FPS and band together with others to form a squad or platoon to fight the enemy. It would be badass.
