Republicans are preparing to use Thursday's White House health care summit to sell their own ideas for using the private marketplace to expand coverage and reduce costs, but they remain wary of fumbling away what they believe is an advantage on the issue heading into this year's critical midterm elections.
GOP leaders are acutely aware of the stakes involved in the extraordinary bipartisan gathering. An effective performance could give their party a vital image boost as November approaches. But if the party's delegation stumbles or oversteps, President Obama and congressional Democrats could see the session provide new life to the stalled health care legislation they have been laboring over for a year.

You are victims. You are helpless against the wiles of big corporations and insurance companies and you need protection. You need the government to take over and do things you cannot do for yourself.
That is the thinking of what David Brooks calls "the educated class" that favors the Democrats' health care bills. Members of this elite spout tales of woe of people denied coverage or care with the implication that there but for the grace of government go you. So sign on and the government will take care of everything.

Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are on a Kamikaze mission. And theyre now preparing to ram government-run health care down our throats by using a series of legislative tricks and parliamentary gimmicks.
Theyve just repackaged the same tired ObamaCare ideas that the American people have already rejected... rationed care
drastic cuts to Medicare Advantage
hundreds of billions of dollars in tax increases
the unconstitutional individual mandate
taxpayer-funded abortions

Regardless of anything Barack Obama has said there will be federal funding for abortions in his new healthcare scheme and this is one of the major problems Americans have with it.
An analysis of the new healthcare bill, posted by the White House, indicates Obama has no intension of cutting federal funding for abortions in this latest new version of healthcare.
The new plan will provide $11 billion to expand Community Health Centers that will certainly do abortions. Apparently Obama and his Party believe Americans especially Pro Lifers are fools.

Patients were "routinely neglected" by Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust, an independent inquiry has found.
The inquiry, chaired by Robert Francis QC, said the trust was preoccupied with cost-cutting, targets and process, and had lost sight of its responsibility to provide safe care.
It found patients were left unwashed, sometimes for up to a month, and that some staff showed a "disturbing" lack of compassion for patients.

you can forget the democrats tossing out anything in the current proposal. Aint gonna happen. The dems, with the added weight of Obama, hope to overwhelm the Republicans and force them into folding and agreeing to reluctantly support ObamaCare so they, the democrats, can save face for Obama and themselves.

Some time ago I invented the phrase "fascialism" to describe the American system of political economy. Fascialism means an economy is part fascist, part socialist. Economic fascism has nothing to do with dictatorship, militarism, or bizarre racial theories. Fascism is a brand of socialism that was the economic system of Germany and Italy in the early 20th century. It was characterized by private enterprise, but private enterprise that was comprehensively regulated and regimented by the state, ostensibly "in the public interest" (as arbitrarily defined by the state).

Health Reform: The linchpin of ObamaCare 2.0 is that 31 million uninsured will be covered at little added cost. But in fact, White House estimates for low costs are based on little more than accounting tricks.
The president's plan "puts our budget and economy on a more stable path by reducing the deficit by $100 billion over the next 10 years and about $1 trillion over the second decade by cutting government overspending and reining in waste, fraud and abuse," the White House says on its Web site.

But Conrad threw some doubt Wednesday on the plan that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been pushing, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has indicated he could accept -- to pass the sidecar reconciliation bill with the fixes before the House takes up the Senate bill, as a way to mollify House members who strongly oppose the more conservative Senate measure.
