NATO issues directive restricting night raids
Stars and Stripes ^ | February 25, 2010 | Stars and Stripes

A new directive, confirmed Wednesday by Gen. Stanley McChrystal, aims to limit nighttime raids on Afghan civilians. It was prompted by a storm of complaints from Afghans who were enraged over foreign soldiers bursting into their homes. "We didn't understand what a cultural line it was," McChrystal said during a luncheon with a group of young Afghans involved in a leadership program.

We (the US Military) own the night. It is our objective to win.

Unfortunately, McChrystal has forgotten what he has learned.

It's on him and Obama.

Note to islamic terrorists operating throughout Afghanistan:

Conduct your operations at night, as the stupid bastards in charge of the US and NATO forces will not bother you then.

That is all.

So the Afghan civilians are enraged only because it’s foreign soldiers who burst into their homes at night? [And BTW, if it were Louisiana instead of Afghanistan, the homeowners would have the law on their side if they shot first.] Does that mean that they won’t be so pissed off if it’s Afghan soldiers who kick down the door?

Is this the whole article? Seems kinda weird. You’d think the Afghan civilians would be bitching about the predator drone bombings too.

Is there a better link?

“McChrystal has forgotten”

A short reminder:

“SEC. 2. AUTHORIZATION FOR USE OF UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES.

(a) IN GENERAL- That the President is authorized to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons, in order to prevent any future acts of international terrorism against the United States by such nations, organizations or persons.”

"We didn't understand what a cultural line it was," McChrystal said...

Hey General - your refusal to bow to Islam is even more of a cultural violation - so how are you going to make it up to the outraged Muslims and angry liberals who can't believe that you don't have enough shame to bow to Allah?

Currently there is not a better link.

The words I posted are there on the front page of S&S. But, if you hit the link, it takes you to an unrelated article.

Sounds like bait to me. I sure as hell wouldn't want to be the one trying to take advantage.

Cheers:’)

I think thats exactly the point he's trying to make without saying it.

McChrystal is 0bama’s “boy”.

Too many rules. We will never win this or any future wars/conflicts.

It sure would be comforting to have a real man in the White House. Someone that would “yank the bone out” and get the job done so our boys could get home to their families.

0bama is a loser and the worst president this country has ever seen. I loathe him.

Whats next, our troops have to call ahead for an appointment?

“No sir, Achmed cannot see you today, I have an opening at 10 am on the 32nd...”

When the Afgan people come out in the day and invite the Marines to remove the terrorists, then the Marines will have less incentive to come uninvited in the night.
