Why ban a comedy that tries to pass itself off as a horror flick???
Al Gores film is like a combo of ‘Shaun of the Dead’ meets ‘The day after Tomorrow’.

Perdogg, do you support our schools presenting fantasy as fact as well? perhaps they should teach that King Arthur was real and Merlin is still alive.

Opposed to banning stuff. Of course, I am too. But in an educational setting, only videos that advance learning a subject should be shown.
They can show it at the local theater all they want, just not in a education facility.

Al Gore should be made to pay back all the money he’s made from this HOAX, and give back all awards he’s received on it’s behalf, as well.

Nah, just want to be clear on him being against banning WHAT KINDS OF things.
Should we take little impressionable, immature kids and brainwash them? Like Kevin Jennings and Al Gore want to do?
or will parents stand up and fight to protect their kids from having the government molest thier childrens’ minds??
If we won’t fight for our kids, this country is doomed.

Global Warming/ Climate change should not be taught as they are total BS. However banning ideas (in the form of books and film) from school libraries is a bad step. Perdogg is correct and your response to him was asinine.

Please define ban. If students wanted to watch this after hours as part of a club, do you think the school should ban it?
I think it should be exposed and debated.

If it weren’t for the liberal agenda, indoctrinating our children via the schools, I can see the point of banning these kinds of “films”.

I think its House Bill 4530 (or 4350) which masquerades as an “anti-descrimination bill” but would give the federal government the power to MANDATE the “queering of elementary education” as the book Kevin Jennings wrote the forward to it titled.
Sexualizing kids from kindergarten... BRAINWASHING them into perversion. The freaks are running the country.

If kids find out it is banned, they will want to see it all the more. Better not to ban it, but if somebody is showing it, have companion materials ready, pointing out the flaws and hyperbole.
To: GeronL
Well 4530 is a four year old bill to rename a courthouse in Kentucky. 4350 is the “Fallen Heroes Family Act”. There is a bill like you describe in the Iowa House (that hasn’t even gotten through committee), but let me know when you get your facts straight.

Depends on what age group you are talking about. Also, considering the liberal bias the teachers union has I don’t think political agendas should be allowed.

Fine. So instead of banning the film, they could require that, if it is shown, the school gives equal time to a film which contradicts the claims made in Gore's film.

What role does a science fiction movie play reading, writing and arithmatic?
Maybe a definition of what the ban means is in order. They should ban teaching/showing the movie as truth. But if a kids brings it to school on his ipod and watches it during lunch for a few laughs...then that is ok. But public money should not be used to show the movie.

I don’t have a problem with banning things that are blatant lies.
But the schools have no business showing this anyway. If the kids want to see it, they can see it at home.

They don’t need to see videos in school.

I have never advocated showing anything in a school. All I said I was I oppossed to banning it. If it is in the school library or some student groups wants to watch it on the alloted time, I am opposed to banning it. Please don’t imply that am I advocating this or requiring students to watch it.
