N.Y. Democrat has been under scrutiny for months on various allegations
WASHINGTON - The Associated Press has learned that the House ethics committee has concluded that Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charles Rangel knowingly accepted Caribbean trips in violation of House rules that forbid hidden financing by corporations.
Who will tap (not slap) his wrist?
Duh, only about a hundred times.
So What are they going to do???? I can tell you in one word, NOTHING! He’s a Democrat, end of story.
You could kind of tell that Obama knew something today when Rangel stood up and Obama kind of ignored him.
The Health Care Summit must have been REALLY bad for them to release this news now, instead of the usual Friday Night Dump.
RANGELL BROKE THE LAW !!!
That's what the real issue is here.
At least it will be a good campaign commercial for the Republicans.
Heard his two challengers last evening. Either one would be an astronomical improvement. Audience—about 95% black—agreed.
Oh, well SHAME SHAME SHAME, Charlie. Promise Mommy you’ll be a good boy and we won’t have to punish you too severely.
Then toward the end, Obama referred to Rangel and Dingle as “the lions of the House”.
So What are they going to do???? I can tell you in one word, NOTHING! Hes a Democrat, end of story.”
(Cue dramatic music from Highway Patrol) Censure!
I suspect a way harsh censure or reprimand will come down from on high. Way harsh.
Are you sure he didn't mean "lyin''? ;^)

BREAKING NEWS: RANGEL IS A DEMOCRZAT SO ITS OK says ETHIC PANEL
Am I crazy or does it look like he is wearing a woman’s blouse in this picture?
He also broke the law.
We also know the political class pay no punishment for their corruption.
Why do not they act on the corruption arrest the stupid son of bitch. Put him in jail. he broke the law and the DemocRats need to show that the law will be observed set the tone, deal with and get the hell out of the way I am alomost temoted to go to DC with a pitchfork and shove it up Rangels ass
True, Democrats need something to stop people from talking about their stupid performace today. Bami did not do his homework and should receive a F.
I just hope they don’t go for the ultimate punishment of having Obama write a stern letter to him.
Lions? More like alley cats.
Hmmm.... interesting. Are these two Democrats?
No (D) mentioned in the article:
Why? The Republicans would have obviously made Fat Charly an issue in the 2010 elections.
“MSNBC Ticker Tape BREAKING NEWS: RANGEL BROKE HOUSE RULES says ETHIC PANEL”
Slap on the wrist.
Sen. Charles Rangel makes remarks on benefits of White House health summit
Thursday, February 25, 2010; 5:58 PM
RANGEL: (inaudible) Mr. President. I appreciate the fact that you saved the best for last.
RANGEL: I had really hoped that when we came here that we were really going to push over the top
LOL out loud.
Will he become the pariah that gets the cold shoulder?
~Don Rangel, HBO make you an offer you can’t refuse? Resign you pig!
“RANGEL: I had really hoped that when we came here that we were really going to push over the top”
CORRECTION: It SHOULD read ...
RANGEL: I had really hoped that when we came here that we were really going to shove this piece of socialism up the ass of America ...
I’m so glad someone else saw that. I thought maybe it was just my bad eyes. It sure does look like it!
So what. He’s a democrat and he’s black... he’s bulletproof.
This looks like a clip from "Weekend at Charlie's"
Or maybe a strongly worded letter!
Nobody went near the bar, and after a long scolding speech on "choice" by Jhemu Greene, only one person clapped. A nice change from the usual!
Wow, I guess old Charlie is doomed............................
To write a nice apology letter and come to the well of the House to explain how evil republicans are out to get him
Rep. Bennie Thompson of Mississippi
Rep. Pete Visclosky of Indiana and top aide
Sen. Max Baucus
Sen. Roland Burris of Illinois was recently admonished by the Senate Ethics Committee
Thanks to Nancy Pelosis lapses in judgment, the rap sheet on the Democratic-led Congress is getting longer by the day,.... When the speaker promised to drain the swamp, she probably didnt think shed be fighting off hypocrisy charges four years later heading into the 2010 elections. --Ken Spain, communications director for the National Republican Congressional Committee.
The Office of Congressional Ethics, an independent watchdog was created by Democrats in 2008.
Ha, another Orca in the news!
