CUPERTINO, Calif.--The presence of one of the world's pre-eminent environmentalists at Apple's shareholder meeting Thursday was the subject of much of the morning's pointed discussion.
Gore was seated in the first row, along with his six fellow board members, in Apple's Town Hall auditorium as several stockholders took turns either bashing or praising his high-profile views on climate change.
A longtime Apple shareholder stood at the microphone and urged against Gore's re-election to the board. Gore "has become a laughingstock. The glaciers have not melted," Sheldon said, referring to Gore's views on global warming. "If his advice he gives to Apple is as faulty as his views on the environment then he doesn't need to be re-elected."

Who is Al Gore?
Oh, wait. Is he the one that won an Oscar for that mockumentary? That movie was funnier than Spinal Tap.
Fine news for a Friday mornin’!
Al Gore said that the climate was set to go to 11.
Has Gore ever run or worked for a business?
Why is he on the board of anything?
Has Gore ever had ANY training, education, or experience with climatology? Errr, I did not think so.
Didn’t he invent the Internet?
I will never buy an Apple product as long as former president-elect iGore is on the board.
“Has Gore ever run or worked for a business?
Why is he on the board of anything”?
...Gore is the honkey version of Obama. NO experience in ANY type of private sector ANYTHING. He was on the board because he was VP once, I guess.
Yeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssss;) LOL! My all time favorite movie.

At least AlGore finally surfaced....to collect a paycheck.

Now, here’s a good question, and I’d like to hear the views of those who have Apples.
Here goes ... (and dont kill the messenger, I’m ONLY asking a viable question.)
Can you be a good conservative, standing up for conservative ideas and values, and still buy Apple products and support Gore, knowing they spend a portion of your money to further Liberal causes?
(yes, I know, MS gives to Liberal causes too, but I dont think as much as Apple, and certainly not as much as Gore)
I know ALOT of people on here dont support AARP (me neither) for their contributions to the far Left. Do you consider Apple the same?
For my 2 cents, I cant support Apple OR Gore (or Google (Gore sits on its board too))
No flames please. I simply want to know what you think.
The presence of one of the world's pre-eminent environmentalists frauds and nut jobs. There - fixed it.
Good luck with that!
I can see Gore being named an indicted co-conspirator when the climate hoaxers are brought to justice for their fraud and misuse of federal funds.
I’m in the middle of a blizzard as we speak. The winds were 50 MPH last night.
IIRC Rush uses Apple products.
Interesting question.....what do you drive?
'Pull'
I don’t know, by these numbers from campaignmoney.com I would rather support Apple than Microsoft.

(21% of total)

Microsoft was neutral in contributions, which were minimal, before the Democrats begain their anti-trust attacks on Microsoft in the mid-1990s.
And, from those numbers, Apple supports a higher percentage of Democrats.
In the same vein: How many conservatives have Progressive Auto Insurance?
I use a mac because it works. Period. Not because who’s on the board. Would I quit my job because my company supports liberal causes periodically, not hardly. It called the real world.
but we buy Chinese products....
Me too! LOL
>”Interesting question.....what do you drive?”
I drive two fords and my RV was made in Elkhart Ind.
>”Can you be a good conservative, standing up for conservative ideas and values, and still buy Apple products and support Gore, knowing they spend a portion of your money to further Liberal causes?
‘Pull’”
LOL! Lets hope not.
You would have to live in a shebang, eat what you hunt or gather and walk everywhere you needed to go to avoid having a cent of your money ending up in the pockets of liberals and liberal causes.
>”I dont know, by these numbers from campaignmoney.com I would rather support Apple than Microsoft.”
The numbers are interesting. Where did you get them?
No, I don't think that will be permitted under the dems healthcare legislation. ;-)
>”In the same vein: How many conservatives have Progressive Auto Insurance?”
True, and I actually did, for a very short time, when I came back from overseas. Once I found out they were a BIG Liberal contributor, I dropped them like a hot potato. Shoulda figured that out from the name, but oh well, the wrong was righted.
>”but we buy Chinese products....”
Yup, and thus the “Lesser of Two Evils”. Just about everything that’s made now-a-days in made in China, or some other foreign place.
The only thing I can say is I guess I’d rather support some Chinese guy trying to put food on his table for his family, than shove another dollar bill into the mouth of Al Gore, period.
>”You would have to live in a shebang, eat what you hunt or gather and walk everywhere you needed to go to avoid having a cent of your money ending up in the pockets of liberals and liberal causes.”
Ya, youre correct. I think it equates to just HOW MUCH you want to support the Left.
I tried, but it's already taken!
Al Gore comes out of hiding, but he has reason to stay in the “witless” protection program: (1) http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2457875/posts (2) http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2458674/posts
Yes, I’m in Drums.
It all balances out - Al Gore was a really big hit among the international collection of 5 or 6 thousand geeks gathered in Las Vegas for the IBM customer/partner event this week.

Progressive is owned by $oro$.
Pray for America’s Freedom
FWIW, I use a MacBook Pro and use a portable Pioneer Inno XM satellite radio. My wife has a Gateway laptop and a 2nd Generation iPod. The Gateway is the only source of frustration these days.

Ok - I’ll bite;)
Every man should have an eleven knob - or a twelve even;)
I’m in the Lehigh Valley, and I’m surprised to say I never heard of Drums, which is north of us. Right now we’re having a break in the snow, but it’s supposed to pick up again. How much did you get?
I send Steve Jobs an article on Globull Warming once a month (to all his various email addresses), and remind him that he is supporting a fraud and that he has a charlatan on his BOD.
Unfortunately, there is not a reasonable competitor to Apple for the quality of products they produce.
