With speculation mounting that US Representative William D. Delahunt will not seek reelection, Joseph P. Kennedy III, son of the former congressman and great-grandson of the Kennedy family patriarch, is eyeing a run to succeed him in the 10th Congressional District, senior Democratic sources say.
The sources say that Kennedy, a 29-year-old assistant district attorney on the Cape considered by many to be the most promising member of his generation to extend the family’s political legacy, is not close to making any decisions and will not speak publicly until Delahunt announces whether he will seek another term. The discussions are taking place very privately among Kennedy family confidants.
One potential hurdle, however, is the political climate in the state, and especially in that district, which went heavily for Republican Scott Brown in last month’s Senate election.

Eunice’s kids. Even Maria had a job before marrying Arnold. Eunice is the only decent member of the original family. Her children have turned out great.
Politics aside, I would tend to agree with that.

I think they are taught from birth that they are superior beings due to their bloodline, that they are supposed to be in charge, and that they are destined to rule over us as our Overlords because they are so much smarter than we are, and know better than we do what is good for us. Apples do not fall far from trees, and what kind of arrogance does it take to be 29 years old, an assistant district attorney, with zero experience, and considering a run for Congress rather than city council or the state legislature?

Yeah, Delahunt will probably retire and Carrot Top will probably run. Had he run in 2008 he would have won handily; he sure picked the wrong year to stop sniffing glue. (Airplane! reference; I’m not implying that Joe XVI sniffs glue.)

As an aside there sure isn’t any doubt about the paternity of any of these Kennedy kids. Except for the goofy red hair the family resemblance in evident in this one.
