Hey Olbermann, you should be taking notes! In the video below Glenn Beck and Pat Gray prove you suck and they rock as they act out healthcare letters to President Obama read every night in the White House.

Sadly, reality is probably more hilarious than this episode, but if you need a laugh to relieve the stress provoked by Leftists in America this past year, give yourself a five minute break to remember what it’s like to laugh and watch this…

I think he has as much influence on liberals

This is 80% entertainment. What a grim world it would be if EVERY THING WE SAID was calibrated to convince liberals.

It’s ad libbed. You can always tell when something on their show is ad libbed, because the people listening (Stu for instance on yesterday’s show) are chuckling. If it’s not ad libbed, that doesn’t seem to happen.

As far as last night’s show, I thought it was really good, the way Napolitano had of putting an explanation to the audience’s answers. You could tell the light was dawning.

And the doctor got 30k for the feet and 10k for the tonsils. At least he could have a red or blue pill with 0bamacare. There are so many lines that could be mined by other political comedians, but sadly, most are leftists.

Thank you for posting this Utube link. I seldom listen to Beck on radio but watch him often on his TV show. Glenn is doing a superb job of making history understandable and at the same time educating his audience about current events. This letters to Obama skit was so funny that I had to listen to it twice to catch what I missed when I was laughing at something being said in that increasingly younger baby voice reading a letter to Obama. He and Gray were on a roll for sure.

Think about it!

From the 1970's-80's through 2008, there have been voices and writers out there warning American citizens that Washington was accumulating too much power, that "the People's" liberty was shrinking, that the Constitution was being ignored or eroded, and that people should be aroused and alert to preserving the liberty they inherited!

There was Eddie Chiles in Texas (owner of the Rangers), with his "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it any more!" messages on radio. There was businessman James Evans' book, "America's Choice." There was NC businessman W. David Stedman and his years-long radio spots and full-page monthly magazine ads on freedom of individual enterprise, constitutional principles and government growth, all culminating in a 1987 book which engaged constitutional scholars, presenting those principles and tracing how America had been departing from them.

There were many other serious citizens and organizations publishing books on the subject: Milton Friedman, Bill Simon, David Barton, with Wallbuilders, Ellis Sandoz, publishing the Sermons of the Revolutionary Period, Dr. D. James Kennedy's Coral Ridge Ministries, the Weiners and "Forerunner," CWA, Eagle Forum, Heritage Foundation, NCCS's "5,000 Year Leap," and on and on.

Few citizens, out of over 300 million, became involved. We were passive. We thought someone else would do it. We thought liberty had been saved by the founding generation, and it would always be so. We allowed the censors of the government, the bureaucracy, the NEA, the unions, the ACLU, to censor our children's textbooks and intimidate schools and the "public square" so that the ideas would not see the light of day. We allowed a controlled media to communicate our messages, unrebutted.

Only a small percentage of citizens sounded off.

Now, here comes an entertainer named Glenn Beck. His style is not scholarly. He does not dress or act like a think tank representative or a theologian. He sounds, at times, silly and overly dramatic. He definitely is not Thomas Jefferson or John Adams.

Yet, in a year, he may have called more people to a reading of Madison, Jefferson and Adams, and others of the Founding generation, than anyone in our nation's history. And, have you noticed, that the timing of his appearing on TV has coincided with the technology which enables easy access to those words and ideas of Madison, Jefferson, Adams, etc.? It also has coincided with the greatest threat to liberty which America has faced since 1776!

We may not like him personally. He has flaws, and he may prove to be much less than a perfect representative of so-called "conservative" thought. His ideas may not fit our ideas, but citizens are aroused and involved, and we must not be so small that we kill the messenger who aroused them.

"Although men are born free, slavery has been the general lot of the human race; Ignorant – they have been cheated; asleep – they have been surprised; divided – the yoke has been forced upon them. But what is the lesson? . . . the people ought to be enlightened, to be awakened, to be united, that after establishing a government they should watch over it. . . .It is universally admitted that a well instructed people alone can be permanently free.” James Madison

To: DManA; tell me
You both sort of confirm what I said -- that Glenn Beck is entertaining to those who already agree with him, but not too effective in persuading moderates or liberals.

Thoughtful people won't be eager to join in his mock-fest, and it's the thoughtful moderates we need to appeal to if we want to once again become the majority party in the USA.

If simply pissing off liberals were effective, Ann Coulter would have destroyed the Democratic Party by now, all by herself.

so what?

Nothing, really. It's just that I am looking for another Ronald Reagan. We already have Rush, Beck and Savage for satire and fun.

If you are going to judge Beck purely on his political utility, don’t underestimate his ability to energize the base. Give them courage and ammunition to defend their beliefs. Even if he never convinced a single liberal if his folly that would be enough for one person.
