BOSTON (AP) - Joseph P. Kennedy III, the son of a former congressman and the grandson of Robert F. Kennedy, said Sunday he had decided against running for the U.S. House from Massachusetts this year.

Kennedy told The Associated Press that he wants to remain in his new job as a prosecutor in Cape Cod's Barnstable County.

The 29-year-old Stanford University and Harvard Law graduate has held the post only for eight months.

The Kennedys obviously floated this idea, then did some polling. When the polling indicated that the people of Massachusetts are finally, really sick of the Kennedys, this loser said he had decided he loved the job he already has.

It has been suggested that Massachusetts will lose a seat after the census (that’s before any ACORN-tampering). The buzz is that Delahunt’s seat would be the one that ceases to exist after redistricting.

Perhaps carrot-top was clued in on this by someone? It would have to be someone outside of the Kennedy family...i.e., someone with half a brain and some sobriety.

Are the CINO Kennedy’s getting cold feet?

Or are they afraid of getting “talked to” by the local Catholic Bishop>

Do these people know how to do *anything* productive?

Old J.P. Kennedy was an accomplished rum runner during Prohibition.

Smart kid.The Kennedy brand name has lost much of its luster in recent years.Just live off the $100 million trust fund and you, too, will be dead by 40 due to a car accident, skiing accident, heroin OD...or whatever.

Job market is very tight right now. For a Kennedy it’s either flipping burgers or running for political office.

Don't forget the trust fund. You know, the one started by the illegal rum runner who was kicked out of London by Churchill.

So, we can still hope for a Kennedy free Congress in 2011.

This is kind of like Pablo Escobar's kids running government in Colombia for the next 100 years.

With degrees from Stanford and Harvard why isn’t he with a big Boston law firm?
Did he pass the bar? His cousin, JFK Jr., was in the DA’s office for how long because he couldn’t pass the NY bar.

LOL, I don’t know if anyone could be dumber than Patches, though. They must have done some polling.

He was a pretty good Inside Trader on wall street also.

He’s not that smart. Without uncle Ted in office, his business is going to fall off. He was making a very good living from that, if I understand correctly.

So, we can still hope for a Kennedy free Congress in 2011.

A Kennedy free Congress for the first time since 1963 and a Kennedy free Washington DC for the first time since 1947.
