WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama owes his Canadian counterpart a case of beer.
Obama made the friendly wager with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper before Sunday's U.S.-Canada gold medal game. Canada beat the United States 3-2 on Sidney Crosby's overtime goal.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said President Barack Obama had a case of Yuengling, a Pennsylvania regional brew, riding on the game.

What? I’m surprised our Poser in Chief didn’t promise Canada the remains of our National Treasure, should we lose. *Rolleyes*
The Vegas odd makers should hold off setting any odds until after Obama has made his pick.
He thinks he is cool but he is just low class.

wasn't even his biggest pick of the week
Yuengling? What a crappy beer. You’d think he’d spring for some Sam Adams, at least.
A case of Yuengling.
Great game, too!
Just watching it was exhausting! Congrats to Canada and Team USA for one helluva great game!
Nonsense.. Yuengling is a brilliant lager. Best in the world IMO.
LMAO.
Obama equals the KISS OF DEATH
Exactly he’s batting 1000 when it comes to picking losers!
I pray he goes out in November and starts to campaign for the Dems in the Senate and House....
I just wish they had cut off the Olympics after the game so we could see local news. Of course they didn’t cut off their lame excuse for national news. It stinks. I turned off the TV. I will be watching my normal Sunday night TV shows and that doesn not include nbc.
Yuengling on tap at Nemacolin. Nothing better!
My local news is on...started at 6:30 Eastern. As a huge hockey fan, I’m glad NBC carried the medal ceremony. One of my hometown Columbus players got a gold.
The 0bama touch
(opposite of Midas touch)
Zero jinx’s everything!!!!!
I have no idea who the performers in the closing ceremony are and after 2 weeks of watching the Olympics enough is enough. Please back to normal! Oh by the way congratulations to your gold medal winner. It was a hell of a game!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you only have one local channel? Just curious.
Yuengling, Yes, good stuff.
USA Hockey played a great game they were plagued with the
“Obama Jinx”
Congratulations taxpayers! By the time 0bama manages to obtain and deliver the case of beer we will probably be out at least a quarter million dollars even if he pays for the beer with his own money, which seems unlikely.
“Yuengling? What a crappy beer”
Actually it’s a GREAT beer! I assume you’ve never had it - or you like light beer.
It’s also the oldest brewery in the country.
It seems just a little funny that nbc could do regular programming from 6:30 to 7:00 every night to show Friends, but couldn't cut Olympic coverage short to do local news. Their priorities are screwed up in my way of looking at things.
Yeungling is conservative brew. Sam Adams is liberal swill . Didn’t their president sponsor some contest where people had sex in public at a church? Seems like that’s something Obama might prefer to a company that kicked out the Teamsters.
Obama is quickly replacing the Sports Illustrated cover as the biggest jinx for sporting world or politicians.
Thank you Obama!
Thanks for the thumbs up on my friend's (Rick Nash) gold. It was a fantastic game; best since 1980!
Good grief, there are a LOT better options than Yuengling to pick from. Congrats to the Canadians, that was a great game!
We watched the hockey game, then ‘Antiques Road Show’ from ‘The People’s Republik of Madistan’, WI. One of my customers was on. I’ll have to be much nicer to her now that I know she’s $5K richer, LOL!
Presidential pussy couldn’t bring himself to offer a case of Samuel Adams.
I cant believe he offered them something they could actually drink, I figured he offer up Bud Light or PBR and they would serve it to baby seals before clubbing.
