This is for posters who don't want to view the chat, religion or any other forums besides the news forum.
You have the option to view all topics or only one topic. In the sidebar on the right, look for "Browse by Forum". You have two options, "Everything" or you can choose only one topic to view as your default setting. Most who want to view only one forum choose news.
Currently these are your only two options. Most posters choose all because they know how to sort through the comments that they want to read.

I’ve set this to be my browser’s Homepage. No worries.
Also, if you don’t like the default typeface/font (Times Roman), you can change it permanently in your browser Option or Tools area.
On Firefox, go to Tools -> Options -> Content -> Fonts&Colors. Choose Ariel if you like smoother letters
On IE, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> General (Appearance, at the bottom) -> Fonts. Choose Ariel for your Webpage Font on the left if you like smoother letters.
Fine.....just don't remove the "Everything" choice.

It would be nice to have a sidebar section for LIVE threads, restricted to the current day.
Sometimes LIVE threads get posted by several posters.
Sometimes they get moved to other sections.
Sometimes they get lost.
Many times the viewers/readers are not even aware that a topic/event may have a LIVE thread up.
That could cut down on multiple LIVE threads, maybe.
Well I do seem to remember a documentary about some natives of an island that worshipped a giant gorilla. I think it was back in the 30s.

It's not usually a size problem, it's repeated posts of the same large comment which is a problem. Please hit the abuse button when you see it.

I know a voodoo man. He lives on the other side of the cordillera, but I need a 4x4 to get there. I don’t own one. I went with a friend and other folks who wanted to go along for the ride and experience. It was totally a fun day.

Okay, just did that. My computer kinda locked up, though, so I went to my laptop. I still see posts I disagree with. Do I repeat the operation?
Better yet, be able to choose which subset of the forums you want to see. And have that choice persist as part of your settings. (The last time I checked, the choice defaulted at each connection to “all” or something else that wasn’t what I wanted.)
