PARIS – A violent late winter storm with fierce rain and hurricane-strength winds ripped across western Europe on Sunday, battering France and four other countries, leaving at least 51 people dead.
The storm, named Xynthia, was the worst in France since 1999 when 90 people died. Prime Minister Francois Fillon held an emergency cabinet meeting and afterward called the storm a "national catastrophe."
Many of the at least 45 victims in France drowned, while others died when hit by parts of buildings or trees and branches that were ripped off by the wind. At least a dozen people were missing Sunday and 59 others were injured.

Must be what blew through here Thursday night. Power was out for 2 days and lots (thousands) of people here in NH still don’t have it back. What a mess.
I think their internal Muslims hate what was France IMO.

Remember a couple of summers ago when thousands of elderly French parents and senior citizens died in France during a summer heat spell when their kids had all gone on vacation to the beach and mountains and left the parents to suffer in unairconditioned apartments and houses? Was it something like 15,000 elderly who perished?
The Europeans are so cheap with electricity they’d let mom and dad die before getting AC.
If your take-away from this is that God hates the French, how much more must He hate Chileans, Haitians, New Orleaners and the people on Air France flight 447.

Everything is a lot more expensive over there. Mostly because of taxes. And greed. And stupid labor laws and lazy workers taking 2 hours lunches, etc.
