Having been to Sochi in late November, I'll confirm it's an odd place for a Winter Olympics.

The next Olympics will be in Sochi, Russia. It’s a warm-weather port in the Black Sea.

I looked it up. There are palm trees in Sochi. Average January high ... 49 F .. average low ... 38 F. It would be unusual to have any serious snow accumulation there. It sounds about like Charleston SC or Wilmington NC climate wise.

Like Vancouver, the snow and winter weather is in the mountains east of the city.

I'd bet unless this AWG scam blows totally apart, the same hucksters who are talking about global warming in Vancouver will be crying about global warming in frigid Russia in four years.

Sochi Train Station.
