Mourning begins for SoCal teen after body is found (when will we learn)

The Lake Elsinore man pleaded guilty in May 2000 to molesting a 13-year-old female neighbor and served five years of a six-year prison term. Prosecutors said he lured the victim to his home with an offer to watch "Patch Adams," a 1998 movie starring Robin Williams. The girl was beaten before escaping and running to a neighbor. Gardner "never expressed one scintilla of remorse for his attack upon the victim" despite overwhelming evidence, prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memo.

He had faced a maximum of nearly 11 years in prison under terms of a plea agreement but prosecutors urged six years. A psychiatrist who interviewed Gardner, Dr. Matthew Carroll, wanted a stiffer punishment, saying in court documents that he was a "continued danger to underage girls in the community."

Gardner was on parole for three years, until September 2008, state records show.

San Diego police say Gardner is positively linked to an assault on a 22-year-old Colorado Springs, Colo., woman who managed to fend off her attacker on Dec. 27 in Rancho Bernardo Community Park on the northern edge of San Diego, where King's 1994 BMW was found with her belongings inside.

Rehab can longer be considered an option. Rehab of this behavior is an intellectual psychosis industry that has to be stopped and not rewarded with public money to study these animals.

Life imprisonment, castration, and the death penalty for sex offenses should be allowed as punishment. What state lawmakers will take up this challenge? (crickets)

True for both sex offenders and progressives.

The shrink specifically called this sub-human a “threat to society” and they set him free...not even an ankle bracelet. The ACLU fears putting a “Scarlet Letter” on the poor guy...but seriously, how much good does it do, anyway, to register sex offenders with 30 million illegals roaming the streets? Are they all registered in Mexico City? Probably not. When Butch and Sundance couldn’t rob banks here anymore, they went to another country...who the hell else is roaming the streets of America?

Louisiana under Bobby Jindal tried. It was struck down by the USSC.

The problem started when we changed it from ‘punishment’ to ‘rehabilitation’.

There is no punishment. We are trying to ‘fix’ these people.... and it DOES NOT WORK.

The only way to 'fix' them is with a scalpel.

uh...of course. Especially elected officials. But you have to get them to trial first.

We manage crime.
We do not fight crime.
We have institutionalized crime as a necessary component of society. It rises to a level of acceptance and even entertainment.

My heart broke watching her family at that candlelight service. Her young brother looked in total shock.

Evil people like this should not be allowed to mix in society.

We go from one case to the next and nothing is ever done about it.

In fact, all the understanding is afforded the monsters.

We’ve even released rapists and drunk drivers from US prisons because we didn’t want the expense of lockup and released them because they were illegally in the country.

Essentially a get out of jail free card and what’s more, we’ve seen some come BACK to the states to offend again.

The states no longer want to keep prisoners locked up. Too much cost. They persue revenue ticket offenses because they collect money and rarely seek jailtime.

We need to start arming our daughters when they reach 18, teach them to shoot and learn firearm safety. Kill the damn bastards in self-defense.

“Rehab” for sexual deviancy is a way for the psychiatric community to convince themselves and others that they actually DO something productive. While the medication for mental illness has grown leaps and bounds, the actual ‘treatment’ for sexual sadism and rape just doesn’t work. You cannot talk someone into stopping what is an uncontrollable urge. Therefore, removal from society is the only option. Either by prison or death.

There is a whole legal industry (public and private, including judges, court reporters, clerks, etc) who count on there being crime in society.

Not the only way. I'd go with a .45.

Closeted psychiatrists "rehabbed" homosexuality right out of the list of deviant behaviors.
