One wonders: does the Obama administration deliberately try to screw up our foreign policy, or is it just a matter of ignorance and incompetence? This is painful reading: "Argentina celebrates diplomatic coup as Hillary Clinton calls for talks over Falklands." Here is a photo of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Argentina's President Fernandez de Kirchner. So much for the idea that foreign relations would be conducted better by women.
Now onto the news.
Argentina was celebrating a diplomatic coup yesterday in its attempt to force Britain to accept talks on the future of the Falkland Islands, after a two-hour meeting in Buenos Aires between Hillary Clinton and President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
Responding to a request from Mrs Kirchner for "friendly mediation" between Britain and Argentina, Mrs Clinton, the US Secretary of State, said she agreed that talks were a sensible way forward and offered "to encourage both countries to sit down".
Her intervention defied Britain's longstanding position that there should be no negotiations unless the islands' 3,000 inhabitants asked for them. It was hailed in Buenos Aires as a major diplomatic victory, but condemned in the Falklands.
So, once again, the Obama administration has sold Great Britain, formerly our #1 ally, down the river, along with the inhabitants of the Falklands, whose opinions would seem to count for something. We are past the point where anyone could doubt that the Obama administration's hostility toward the U.K. is intentional. Obama seems to have substituted personal pathology for national policy. If it were “ignorance and incompetence” they would accidentally get it right now and again.
Since they never get it right, it must be inferred they’re deliberately trying to screw it up.
When the Chinese write of the history of the downfall of America, they will point to this presidency as the greatest single debacle in that process.
0bama has gone out of his way to alienate the one country that has consistently stood by our side in every major international issue since 1941. And he has replaced that relationship with nothing.

Exactly what has she done, besides deliver satellite phones to Chile? Who is the White House “Special Assistant” for South America?? (That’s right! Whomever it is would be too busy kissing Chavez’ arse...)
I still think she is looking for the right excuse to pull the plug as SecState, (making her the biggest ‘Rat so far to abandon ship...) and launch another campaign to challenge Premier Hussein for the nomination in 2012. I’ll bet you a burger that has already been discussed and planned, and only awaits the right degree of pull on the proper trigger. If anyone can smell blood in the water, it is the Arkansas Mafia...

She might be thinking that, but as a practical matter, I think it's impossible fro her to wrest the nomination from Obama. Even in the face of falling poll numbers, Obama has maintained an iron-fisted grasp on the minority voters, with some polls showing him still well above 90% of black support and over 80% with Hispanics.
It's impossible to win the Democrat nomination in the face of such minority opposition because minorities make up such a large part of the Democrat electorate now. I think the Democrat party is stuck with Obama.

It is my opinion that 0bama is a “true believer” among socialists. He really believes in the “one-world government” and that he is “the chosen one” to bring this about (he is that narcissistic).
In order to do so, he must do the following in the international sphere:
1. Abdicate our role as the sole military superpower;
2. Repudiate the alliance system that supported that role
3. Surrender our sovereignty to international bodies
4. Destroy our economic independence to an extent that his changes are irrevocable;
Domestically he must do the following:
1. Destroy the economic wealth and prosperity of the middle class in order to destroy our political independence (the goal of all marxist regimes)
2. Cement political power in the one party state
3. Nationalize all basic industries
Dissing the UK is consistent with the destruction of our alliance system. By shoving our most reliable ally out the door, it sends a clear message to everyone else.
Way to poke our allies in the eye with a pointed stick, Hillary!
Some administrations are competent, others incompetent.
Some administrations are trying to serve their country; others are deliberatly trying to screw it up.
Times are good, when a competent administration is trying to serve the country. The likely outcomes are known knowns.
We can’t be sure what we’ll get, when an incompetent administration is trying to serve their country. The outcoms are unknown unknowns The road to perdition is paved with good intentions.
When an incompetent administration is trying to screw their country; the best we can hope for is that it is really, really incompetent. Fortunately, the outcomes are known unknowns.
When a competent administration is trying to screw their country; that’s when we have most to fear. Unfortunately, these outcomes are also known knowns.
