This should be a great race (as long as JJ doesn’t win).
If you'd like ON or Off the Nascar at FR racing threads&stuff Ping List, let me know via Private Reply. Thanks!
This is not a High Volume Ping List and is intended primarily to alert folks of the posting of the weekly Nascar qualifying and race threads.
Occasional sports or military or prayers Pings using the list may also be sent as situation or subject dictates.
Profanities, flame wars and belligerence in observing common sense rules and family decency standards on the thread may result in serious sanctions so be nice. :-)
This has nothing to do with NASCAR, but I must say that Kobalt Tools rock! I have been buying more of them since getting disappointed with others. I know, Kobalt, are Chinese made but they are high quality!
Flame away FR!
You’ve just won yourself one metric ton of okra!
Our Nigerian trade representative will be contacting you.
I grew up during the post war period when ‘japanese’ meant ‘junk.’
I drive a Toyota. Chinese tools went from so-so anvils to pretty sophisticated machinery and electronics, which would not have happened without western engineering and capitalization. We haven’t left the caveat emptor phase, as far as I’m concerned, but the US has given its manufacturing to the chinese (... and Mexicans and ...)
Hey, I’ve got a thread to post. BRB.
No race this week.
Camping World Truck Series:
Saturday 3/6 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on SPEED - 1:30 pm ET
LOL!! I even got here before Norm.
I’m so tired of curling. I’m ready for Boogity, Boogity, Boogity!
At least the weather here on the west side of the Rockies has become springlike... ya don’t have to shovel rain!
Things are looking up!
I sometimes wonder if we should pat you on the back like our crazy uncle in the attic and say, why yes, Tork, well done.
Thanks for hosting this weeks NASCAR thread!
I’m not sure what Atlanta is like but Tallahassee has upcoming freeze warnings. Should be a chilly track and great weather for fans.
ok mr glock. LAST!!!
It’s Tasmanian Salmon on Speed TV Grock...
Thanks for the ping glock but I will miss this one. Blowing up some yankees and black powder this coming weekend. Have a blast......shoot a cannon. : )
You need a note from the Commishoner to be exkewwwwzed from the race.
Just finished cleaning my home protection units and can’t wait to go to my first ‘Combat’ contest tomorrow!!
I’m really conflicted on that waar AFV. A few of my grandparents arrived via Ellis island (north) and some of my grandparents came here through Texas (south) so I am siding with the Indians...

Getting used to a new puter is like getting a divorce and getting remarried. Lots of nice new stuff but what a pain in the butt. A local computer shop built this new dream lady for me. As is life, time will tell.
I didn't realize the withdrawal I would have without one.
Nah, just an ad hoc thingy at the ‘club’...just three people so far. It will be interesting...slow and easy does it!
Well, you’re a couple weeks late :o)
Mine fried about a month ago, and just getting used to the new keyboard has nearly put me in traction. I sure hear what you’re sayin brother. Nasty stuff this upgrading. Yeee.
I’m just breaking in a pair of P229’s. Nanolube! Finest substance on the planet. Get googling.
Good choice....I have Choctaw relatives who rode with General Stand Watie.
I need a permanent translator. Hell, I thought Firefox spell checker was wonderful.
My family past my grandparents were feriners from England, and probably all missed the CW.
Don’t put your eye out...
I’m wearin’ my 44 brass frame 1858 Remington ‘scoose right on my hip pardner.
I’m not belligerent, I’m nuanced.
Anyway, after snowing big, pretty flakes all day yesterday, some decent weather is finally gonna hit the metro Atl. Local weatherman Glenn Burns, who said yesteday morning at 6 am that it would not snow, says we may get close to 70 this weekend.
Paging Al Bore, Atlanta needs some that Globull warming.
I’m old enough to remember when Japanese was junk. Then it went to Taiwan, Korea, Brazil, Mexico, India, China, etc. It’s all relative, but all countries make some decent goods if you are willing to pay the price.
Well out here in Kaalifwnia the Cold War is still raging
After the snow clears from the Alaskan misery headed here Thrusday, the weekend looks wonderful. It hit mid 50’s today, and will likely snow tomorrow, but this race will be watched by the Glock family ON THE DECK. Woo.. second sign of spring (Daytona is the first).
I heard that.
Did I ever tell you about the time I touched off 2 modern 12 gage shells in a Damascus barreled shot gun and...
... and not only do the products mature with improved sales, capital influx, etc., their country’s understanding of the free enterprise system breaks barriers to support that improvement. Happens time and again, and the countries you point out are examples. There is no finer vehicle for the price than my ‘made in Tokyo’ than I drive. It just took them learning some savvy and a chunk of time to make it turn out that way... but it did.
The Chinese are following the same pattern, and are going to give the US a hell of a ride. Hang on. Due to this first year of Obama, they’ll own us. Another year or two of the same and we’re economically toast, no matter our politics.
Ooops. Forgot myself. Nascar thread.
Hey, how about that Mark Martin!
WOW! Thankfully you survived. How many students were present in your NRA firearms safety class that you lead?
lead or led...hmmmmmm...dunno.
You folks have a great time on Sunday.
You too! Be VERY safe!
While on vacation last fall, we drove around the outside of the Atlanta track, checking out the RV campgrounds etc. Looking like a venue we may try to go to within a year or two.
Very impressive facility. But nothing compared to Charlotte.
OTOH, nothing will rival Talladega at pure racetrackness.
