Liberalizing church: Presbyterian Church USA Releasing Report Denouncing Isreal as 'Racist Nation'
Washington Times ^ | 3/4/10

The Presbyterian Church in the United States (PCUSA) is about to release a report which denounces Israel as a 'racist' nation which has absolutely no historical, covenantal, or theological right to the Holy Land.

The report calls for the United States to withhold financial and military aid to Israel and for boycotts and sanctions against Israel.

The report also endorses a Palestinian 'right of return' and 'apologizes to Palestinians for even conceding that Israel has a right to exist.'

According to the press release, it also states that Israels history begins only with the Holocaust and that Israel is 'a nation mistakenly created by Western powers at the expense of the Palestinian people to solve the "Jewish problem"

"In 2004, this Church became the first mainline Protestant denomination in America to 'approve a policy of divestment from Israel.'

This was rescinded, but in 2008 the Church 'created a committee dominated by seven activists holding strong anti-Israel beliefs.

The lone member sympathetic to Israel, quit in protest when he saw their radical agenda.'

This denomination is not only pro-choice, but they offer abortion coverage to pastors and their families in their medical plan.

“Presbyterians pay for the mandatory medical benefits plan designed and administered by the Board of Pensions of the PC(USA) with their tithes and offerings.

Most Presbyterians do not know that the contributions they make to the mission of the Church are used to provide abortion coverage for Presbyterian pastors and their dependents.

The BOP will not volunteer the information, but if you inquire, they will tell you that they have no exclusions on the abortion coverage.

They reimburse for any abortion for which a proper claim form is submitted.”

Speaking of church, did Obambi find one yet?

Maybe one that can explain to him what a “christmas wishing tree” really is?

When you preach against God’s chosen people, well your demise can’t be long coming.

Well the Catholic church seems to be opening it’s arms to all disenfranchised Anglicans. Maybe the Lutherans are next. If so would love to have you.

And the founders of multi-culturalism thought that they could contain this virus so as to create only self hating whites. Horace Kallen rot in Heck.

What a circus !!!

Archeologists are finding stuff every day pointing to the authenticity of the old testament, as well as more and more Hebrew artifacts... not just in Israel but throughout the whole region. Findings go back beyond 2000 years before Christ.....but there are many in the neighborhood who want to deny history and the facts.
Many are seeking to rewrite history...the asshat clan.

My husband was an Elder in the PCUSA - we left when they had the delegation that met with the Palestinians and began this attack on Israel. It is heartbreaking to see this happening to a Church that was an important part of our lives.

Yup...every Sunday morning he can be found at a nearby Whole Foods store. The Communion wafers there are made with "exploitation-free" wheat and there's far less racism and imperialism preached there as well. And seldom is the word "God" heard uttered in the aisles.

Their shortened title is PCUSA. That makes sense. Their statement is so ridiculous that I was looking to see if it was from “The Onion.”

My god, the Presbyterian Church has really gone off the deep end.

To claim that Israel has no historical or covenantal right to the Holy Land is spectacularly absurd.

In 1948, the Palestinians were given an opportunity to live almost side-by-side with the Jews. They, and the rest of the Arab world chose not to. They chose war. For the most part (with the exception of the old city of Jersualem), they lost.

For the sake of common sense, I hope the top leadership in the Presbyerian Church takes a look at this report and says “It does not reflect the thinking of a majority of Presbyerians. We apologize for the fact that anti-Israel activists chose our church as a vehicle to spew their nonsense”.

Unfortunately the top leadership has been taken over by democrats.

Guess there will not be reconciliation without God’s enlightenment with my former Presbyterian friend and I. She agrees with her church on matters Israel and is a deacon in her church. Hence, we are no longer friends. Seems petty, but lives are at stake.
