NBC's Tom Brokaw, in searching for a reason as to why Obamacare faced so much opposition, on Thursday's Today show, determined it was because the people can't quite grasp it, as he sniffed: "The public is very confused." The former NBC Nightly News anchor, on to promote his CNBC documentary about the Baby Boom generation, also told Today co-anchor Matt Lauer that the GOP was fighting the current version of the health care bill for merely "political" and not principled reasons and depicted the uninsured as victims to the now powerful tea party.[audio available here]
For his part, a bewildered Lauer expressed disbelief at the unpopular state of the Democratic Party right now as he questioned Brokaw:
"Could you have imagined that a year later the President's popularity numbers would be dwindling, the Democratic Party would be reeling and they'd be justifiably nervous about the midterm elections?"
The following exchange was aired on the March 4 Today show:
MATT LAUER: Let's move on to health care, another subject that's a lightning rod. The President now says he'll go it alone with the Democrats in the Senate and, and in the House, this reconciliation idea. You only need 51 votes. But it's not clear whether he has those votes.

Tom needs a good town hall meeting with him in the middle asking question of the one thousand Americans surrounding him. Then he wouldn’t be so confused. IOW Tom, time to shut your mouth that has been running far too long, and finally learn something you should have learned a long time ago.

It is anchors like Brokaw and Lauer who are “confused” about their roles in the state-run media.
I would say Brokaw is the confused individual, not the public, who correctly smell a shipload of fat rats included in Obamacare! Among the liberties at stake here is private property, your bank account, where you work, live, and what you eat. On and on and on. Brokaw looks like such a clean cut American boy, but he is as treacherous as his Progressive counterparts in league to bring down the good American way of life!
It must be such a burden for "Tom" to have such a rarefied level of intelligence and education, and have to talk down to us dunderheads who didn't receive the quality college experience that he did. His resume is filled with so many accomplishments that it must be embarrassing to share them all with his adoring public.
I stand in awe.

Tom Brokaw dropped out of The University of Iowa, where he says he majored in "beer and co-eds" before receiving his B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion in 1964.This is from his Wikipedia Bio which also features a picture of "Tom" the tourguide greeting the 20,000th visitor to the Gavins Point Dam. (Yes. I had to look it up. It's on the Missouri at the northern border of Nebraska.) The bio is almost humorous until he begins being taken seriously.

TOM BROKENJAW CAN KISS MY ASS.
Now, I'm having this teensy "issue" with having my health care confiscated (my provider being driven out of business by impossible regulations and intentionally non-viable business conditions).
The facts are that it will cost me more, I will lose my family doctor, and I'll have to wait in long lines (behind illegal aliens) to see a nurses' aid (trainee) leaves me to wonder why so many on the left really want this.
Don't Democrats, Marxists, and/or media types get sick?
(Or, are they going to have "special" clandestine clinics with real doctors?)
Oh, I once lived in England. Great country, marvelous people; however I did get a firsthand glimpse of socialized medicine. All I can say is take your vitamins, get exercise, and don't get sick, because you really, really do not want "single payer" socialized death care.
