A gunman coolly drew a weapon from his pocket and opened fire at the teeming subway entrance to the Pentagon complex Thursday evening, wounding two police officers before being shot and critically wounded, officials said.
Authorities said all three were taken to a hospital. Richard Keevill, chief of Pentagon police, said the two officers suffered grazing wounds that were not life-threatening.
The suspect, identified as 36-year old John Patrick Bedell, allegedly walked up to a security checkpoint at the Pentagon in an apparent attempt to get inside the Defense Department headquarters, at about 6:40 p.m.

So it wasn’t a Religion of Peace shooting.
My next guess is a Code Pink shooting.

Could be, or perhaps a computer out of the Bay area. Either can be dangerous.
Wait and see....

Is it this guy or a different J. Patrick Bedell?
“The principal investigator for the proposed research is J. Patrick Bedell, the chief executive officer of DNAputer Research, Incorporated. In addition to a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of California at Santa Cruz, Mr. Bedell has an intense desire to contribute to the national security of the United States.”

I'm STILL guessin' a convert.
The fringe media doesn't have the sense to actually analyze information ... they heard "white guy name" and ran with it.

You would think it would take two or three full business days for the FBI, CIA and other agencies to make a determination that this was not terror related. I wonder who in the fed made the statement that this was not an act of terror because there is no mention of it in the article. Just move along there is nothing to see here.

That's some interesting research. Having DNA molecules be absorbed on to an aluminum surface and somehow using it to mass duplicate and produce molecular level circuitry. In other words, organic ultra small microchips. At least after glancing at it, that's what the paper seemed to be saying.
The fact that the writer has just a BA in Physics would lead one to think he's a grad student in their mid-20's, not 38 as the shooter is described. Probably not the same guy, but if he is it's like something from a storyline on Fringe.

feds say shooting not an act of terrorism That's what they said about the Ft. Hood shooter. Never mind that they knew he had yelled "Allu Akbar" before opening fire.
They *still* won't admit it was an act of Islamic terrorism, even though they know he also contacted several really radical types.

Sigh.
